Best and Lightest Skewers (again_)
Moderator: robbosmans
Does AX Lightness offer a road version skewer with a titanium front axle? I don't like the idea of an aluminum front axle nor do I like the idea of cutting the axles of the MTB version myself.
It's all downhill from here, except for the uphills.
Nope they don't. Just buy the MTB skewers. The cutting is very easy but if you ain't up for that, you don't have to. On the other hand, the front axle ain't that much longer, compared to the road axle.

Found this thread through a search for POP skewers. Anyone know if they're still available and if I can buy them in the US? Or someone who will ship to the US?
Does Parts of Passion even still exist? Can't even find a website for them anymore.

Thanks for the link. However, if you had no problems ordering then your German is way better than mine. Did you email them to order? Couldn't find any prices or any online ordering.
Yes, emailed worked fine for me. On the website you're looking for Schnellspanner in produkte menu: http://www.pop-products.ch/index.php?schnellspanner
Gerhard's english is excellent, btw.

You can buy the Tune Skewers at FairWheel for $129.
I think they are the best and they are very light. They feel very secure, it is hard to believe that they are only 33 grams.
They are more expensive, but if you want lighter skewers without compromising on performance or durability these are the skewers.
