wow that sucks, but from the picture it really does look like a compression crack - like it was clamped too hard by a rack or repair stand.

Like the others said, try to deal directly with C'dale and maybe if you swear on a stack of Bibles that this frame was never abused they might work woth you.

Not necessarily, clearcoats can be more flexible. Looks like from the downtube position and radial cracks that the bike either fell over onto something large, or was transported with weight on the tube. That position is not consistent with a stress failure.
