I also noticed several of the Garmin riders were not using powertap hubs. Euser and Dave Z. were not at all (though Dave couldnt have due to using the 1080's, the rims are too deep to use with a PT hub)

Why are 1080's too deep for a PT? Is is the spoke angle coming out of the hub?

My bad, it was Farrar I was thinking of . http://www.velonews.com/photo/84221
As for the 1080's: http://www.zipp.com/wheels/detail.php?ID=31
"The Zipp 1080 rim is not compatible with the PowerTap hub. This is due to the severe spoke angle caused by the very large Flange of the PT hub combined with the very small ERD of the 1080 rim. This combination results in an overly severe spoke angle at the rim/spoke interface in a built wheel. This is not the bracing angle of the spoke, but the angle relative to tangency of the hub resulting in a very high off-radial angle at the rim. This leads to premature nipple and spoke thread failures at cycle counts far below the Zipp minimum requirement for fatigue durability."
Figured so. Thanks.

defintly, the whole stark white kit is getting kida old...
pink and blue somewhere on that kit (maybe the bike as well instead of the gold which he has yet to earn)
skeaking of which, sammy sanchez's bike looks even better than ballan's (its just too bad he still has to wear his standard team jersey)

White tape and standard Euskatel-kit would look better.

Well was also thinking they were Tune QRs... But if you look at the rear, the original rear Tune QR closes the other way round than the front. The rear QR on Sanchez bike closes the same as the front. So what could it be???

How tall is Sammy, and what size bike does he ride? Looks like a looong stem.
