Tuning a carbon saddle

I have a Sella San marco Era Composite and the area behind the nose (where most my weight is) is a little stiff. This saddle is a straight backed saddle. Has anyone tuned thier saddle by drilling hole in the shell? The area where it is stiff and straight could use some softening. Maybe if I drilled some holes in it, it would flex there. Would the holes tend to tear? It's a carbon fiber shell with a thin padded cover. I would only be drilling the shell.

it would be more easy if you posted some pix of the saddle with kind of sketches on it, showing what area exactly you want to soften or even where you plan to drill holes.

generally speaking, you can drill carbon BUT it depends quite a lot on material thickness, your "drilling skills" (by wich i'm also talking of your equipment) and the loads wich the weakened structure still must take.
