That one with brake on front in Walser. Using it show that Giant can't hake such quality pro bike. I wonder why? World larger manufacturer and many years experience on carbon fibre. Money/Time issue?

I think it would be good idea produse pro bikes that could sold excatly same to public. Now when you buy Giant, you buy only image of pro bike.

Look how Trek sells...all that they can build and same as team rides.

And Trek's are way expensive....

Tmobile ladies ride Giant TT bike, Tmobile men besides Ulle in TdF (he rode TdG, TdS, ToM on Giant TT bike... rides Giant TT bike. So I don't think it is lack of Quality. Just preference.

Also... ONCE won TTT on Giant TT bikes... in TdF and Vuelta Espania

ps - the only sure way to say it is Giant or Walser is not brake or bars...

the bars can be removed and installed elsewhere... and brakes on Vino's giant TT bike plus others isn't installed in the back (some prefer not to bother with it).

Best way? headtube and seattube + seatpost.... (the sloping top tube helps but at angles is hard to see).

I don't see why putting the brakes on the rear of the fork is all that hard.

The Scott Team Issue is exactly the bike some riders use in the TDF (different decals). Has anyone seen CR1's in the tour?

I hope they put them to open sale for next summer.And they should be much stiffer as normal carbon Giant's. And make more sizes...then I would be happy and buy one!

This is my current ride. Solid and build to my body position. It's shame that factory that I use,can't make TI-aero tubing less than for 50 frames/time...I would have 49 left over....It would be nice if I would find factory how could made same frame but with aerotubing, alloy or carbon tubing. With good pipes, so weight under 1500g. (frame in picture weights 1578g but with butted bb/headtube it's under 1500g with 19/22/32/35/38 pipes=very solid) I have also Ti TT-bar under construction that weights ~500g with integrated stem/brake levers. That 3TTT Heron picture has my designed composite elbow supports that allow 30mm lower position and cut 60g weight. Now the bike in picture weights ~7.2kg with pedals. With new bar it would be unlegal, under 6,7kg. Then it would accerate nicely...

I can find some nice looking and light TT-frames like Isaac, Kuota etc. but are they stiff and why they have also normal road fork that have to be changed? Isaac need then new bb race also. I hope in next winter I see totally perfect frame/fork TT-sets and some tests of them on TOUR-mag.

Putting braken in rear of fork is hard because front wheel won't turn...in normal brakes. I'm milling prototypes from Cane Creek 200SL. (very bad brakes but will be ok in rear or in TT if adjusted frequenty and right,100g less than Record/D-A/Mavic/pair)

Cable routing in brake is main problem. If somebody would take spy picture from Jan's front brake, I would be very happy!

I've seen a moron with his (MTB) forks on backwards. It was a laugh to look at but it worked fine.

ONCE's TT bike from Giant... same in principle.

If you want a real TT frame - I recommend to wait until Fall 2004. Giant's bikes are always cheaper than competitor... so... good frame at lower price.

well ONCE used it in TdF, Vuleta of 03 - and Liberty is still riding the same bikes..


(the gold can still be seen on some) - i doubt it'll be illegal because Giant is very good with the UCI... compact geometry for example.

btw - sources say that riders from Spain, Columbia, Germany, USA and Russia will be riding the time trial bike in the olympics...

so that's like securing the gold, silver and bronze medal?

Also... on road races... team USA = 3 Giant riders... while Team Germany is pretty much all Tmobile anyway. Great marketing tatics.
