Hi guys,

I've seen in cycling magazines that CSC Team used strange Speedplay pedals in Paris Roubaix 2004.

Does someone have informations about them (pics, weight, etc...) ?

Thanks !

I know that at the moment Speedplay is offering a CSC tiscali edition pedal.
Basically it is nothing more than the normal Zero stainless or titanium in red (the black of blue plastic is changed for red otherwise its absolutely the same.

In fact, the pedals I talk about are prototype (magazines say that they will be available in shops in 2005). They aren't like the actual models at all. To explain you the new design, we can say that Speedplay guys have deleted a big part of the pedal. They seemed to be a cross...

I think they were used in 2003 also. Most of the body is gone compared to standard ones leaving mostly the axle and bow ties. I think the theory was that the muck and dirt wouldn't clog the mechanism as much but I never heard anything about whether it worked for that or the weight.
