Dutch cycling magazine "FIETS" has tested the system six in size 52 and it weighted 1090 gram. They also tested an synapse carbon in size 58. That one was 1150 gram.

Cannondale now claims that the new synapse, the synapse SL, will weight 1020 gram in size 56. But the looks of the synapse is getting worse, it's going to go compact :?

Did Fiets have any stiffness numbers?

Dude, What size is that?

Answered my own question. Found the same pics in pkent's forum. It's a size 56.

Yes,
System Six torsion 100.9 Nm/ bracket 38.5 Nm/ Vork 48 Nm/
CAAD8 torsion 78 Nm/ bracket 36.9 Nm/ vork 73 Nm/
Synapse Carbon torsion 90 Nm/ bracket 56 Nm/ vork 74 Nm/

It is a pitty that the stiffness of the cannondale race frames is decreasing. My old CAAD4 is stiffer than those three new ones.

In 6 years time and from CAAD4 to system six Cannondale could only decreas their frame weight by 200 gram and build a bike with a lower torsionstiffness and a very low bracketstiffness

It's a pitty they don't build CAAD4s anymore.

Did they have numbers for any other manufacturers? I am particular interested in Cervelo data :D

Thanks for the numbers Paul. I think the only way for them to improve the stiffness to weight ratio is to go full carbon. Even then I don't think they'll be amongst the lightest as Cannondale maintains pretty stringent margins for safety and durability.

I dont know the fiets test but are you sure about the numbers? Cant explain myself why 1.5 systemsix fork should be so much weaker than a normal fork and the same with the bracket stiffness. By the way it would be super nice if you could post some pictures of the test as it isnt available in germany.
