COLNAGO has also moved to using UDH and BSA in the future.

Nah it's pretty tough to get really thin without the bayonet fork. Look at the factor hanzo, which got the frontal area down to 15mm. When you reduce the width like that you need disproportionally more longitudinal length to keep the required stiffness/strength in lateral bending (e.g. like 50mm long in the case of the Hanzo). But if you want all that length to rotate inside a head tube, the head tube becomes outrageously wide just to contain it in any of the rotated orientations. Thus, the only real way to do it is to get the steerer outside the headtube. Then you can make it arbitrarily longer.
That said, from the images, I don't think they actually used the bayonet in this case to significantly reduce head tube width. So your original point stands.
The bayonet section of my TT1 is 34.8mm wide. The narrowest part of my Madone SLR Gen 6 HT is 42.2mm. A basic IS41 headset bearing for a non-ICR bike is 6mm wider than the entire cross-section of my TT1 HT. From what I can tell, the Y1Rs HT is roughly the same width.
Not as skinny as the Hanzo, but this bike needs its front end to be stiff enough in a sprint. There's a reason why the Raiden doesn't have anything remotely close to the Hanzo's front-end.

I don’t mind the Colnago at all and I think it will look good in an action shot or in video.

At least everyone that's been screaming how all new bikes look the same should be happy. All these distinct looking bikes coming to the market. (Ignore the fact that carbon bikes have always been more distinct from one another than metal tubed bikes that all actually do look the same)
I actually like it. Though, would be interesting to see whether Tour results would back all of this up. Seeing how bikes like the S5 are not meaningfully faster than e.g. an SL8, as a non racer would I really want to live with the potential compromises of this setup? Especially in terms of future resale: looks like the seatpost would have to be cut to size, and the v-shaped bar might of course become obsolete in the next three years when a new model is launched.

My first two thoughts relate less to professionals but more to general consumers which this bike might not even be targeted to. First, that seatpost is going to be annoying to deal with, initially. There’s practically no adjustment room. So there’s either going to have to be a lot of sizes or this bike isn’t going to fit a lot of people. Or people aren’t going to be able to get the size they want. I’m thinking of people sizing down but using a long seatpost. Not sure what the max length could be but with the angle of the seatpost, going long can’t be super strong structurally. Also curious where the di2 battery would go but seeing as UAE is Shimano they had to have designed for it. Maybe downtube like the SuperSix.
My other thought is the seat tube water bottle. Looks like it’s going to be a little awkward getting to. And possible a big aero loss. Maybe they’re going to tell the pros you only get 1 bottle now but for consumers the position might take a little getting used to.
