Got my hands on a beautiful C50 frame. It came with seatpost. But the seatpost has massive setback. And I need a seatpost without setback, and I need it to be black also. The thing is, the seatpost diameter is odd size 28.0 mm. And apparently nobody really makes them. I googled several pages, and nothing really came up in europe.

The other options is to get a shim from 27.2 to 28.0. That would give me the freedom to use any 27.2 seatpost. But those shims are also very hard to come by. Seems there are shims for all other sizes than from 27.2 to 28.0. I found a few, but it seems like old out of stock websites.

Has anyone solved this problem inside EU?

28mm is a bizarre seatpost size. I don't think a 27.2-28mm shim would be a great idea...the walls of the shim would only be 0.4mm thick. 25.4 - 28 might be more feasible?

You could potentially get something custom made- there are a decent number of machinists who advertise on eBay- you message them with a description or drawing / sketch of what you want and they'll give you a quote. I've had delrin and aluminium parts made that way before and always been studied with the results- the costs were fairly cheap too.

WR Compositi has seatposts both with and without setback for 28.0 mm diameter.

I have also used a shim for 27.2 mm in 28.0 mm, and other than potential galvanic corrosion if you are using an aluminium shim, it has been ok. I think I used one from USE once.

It would be easy to get a 27.2 mm shim of any size and get the external diameter turned down to 28mm. If you were in the UK I would do it free of charge.

Unfortunately I'm not in the UK. I am en EU though. But I would be happy to pay for it, since you put your hours into it.

I can second that. I have one on my Colnago Extreme C for years now. Still going strong.
