Hello everyone,
I'm back on the forum after taking a break for a few years! Sorry but I was little bit busy.
In the meantime, we've opened our new workshop, which is just a bit above the previous one. It's larger, with around 600 square meters dedicated to our passion for manufacturing cycling components. If you're traveling around Lake Garda or the Veneto region (Marostica, Vittorio Veneto, and more), you’re welcome to visit our workshop, located in the heart of the Little Dolomites.
here a pic of 2 years ago when we moved here.
I started this new topic to carve out a space on the forum for discussing our components.
Let’s talk about what we’re working on. As someone mentioned here (perhaps in the wrong section, apologies for that), there are rumors that we are developing a dedicated seatpost for the SL8. I'm here to confirm that those rumors are true; we’ve been working on it for a while now.
Some might wonder, “How can a company that has only made mounts since 2020 suddenly create a saddle and now a seatpost?” The truth is, we are a carbon fiber manufacturing workshop. Since 2015, we’ve been producing bicycle frames, surf kit components, steering link tubes for Formula E students, and many other projects. We simply don’t publish every project we work on daily.
Returning to the seatpost, we're aiming to offer a carbon seatpost for the SL8 and Factor Ostro 2.0 VAM, with -15mm and 0mm offsets and various lengths. We will provide two layup finishes: 3K twill and UD fiber. Additionally, upon special request, we can also offer 1K and 6K spread tow.
Stay tuned!

Would be very interested in a zero offset UD post for my Sworks SL8.
If you can make them around 120g for 200E you will sell bucketloads.

I've been very happy with my Alpitude parts. See the bottle cages and garmin mount on my SL8. Will be interesting to see what else is developed!

EVO1 | 5.37kg
EVO3 (sold) | 6.51kg
EVO4 | build thread coming soon
S5 Disc
SystemSix (sold) | 8.01kg
P5 Disc | heavy but fast

For whatever reason, Darimo is ignoring the SuperSix Evo Gen 4 (despite offering a seatpost for the prior Gen 3), so if you do develop a Gen 4 post, I suspect you will find significant demand.LanceLegstrong wrote: ↑Fri Nov 01, 2024 1:17 amAny plans to expand to other frame models in the future? Hello folks,
As we have various demands for different seatpost models, I've prepared a survey to help us determine which model to develop first, primarily based on demand. Thank you to everyone who takes the time to complete the survey!
Here is the link to the survey regarding model type, offset measure, and finish layer:

Some of you have inquired about pricing. Since we are manufacturing these entirely in our workshop using custom bladder construction and fully titanium hardware, the price will unfortunately not be very low. We expect the price to be similar to that of Darimo products.

Nah. IMO SSE4 is a dead end. Cannondale is now in third? fourth? iteration of the seatclamp and yet some users still complain about creaking.refthimos wrote: ↑Fri Nov 01, 2024 1:42 amFor whatever reason, Darimo is ignoring the SuperSix Evo Gen 4 (despite offering a seatpost for the prior Gen 3), so if you do develop a Gen 4 post, I suspect you will find significant demand.LanceLegstrong wrote: ↑Fri Nov 01, 2024 1:17 amAny plans to expand to other frame models in the future? No sensible third party company would take the risk of creating a product to then have complaints about the seatpost creaking because of their supposedly "faulty" product.
