Ok tank'sEddyTwerckx wrote: ↑Sat Nov 30, 2024 6:24 pmI couldn’t find anything on the 1-piece cockpit, but the stem on the lower models is listed at -11. Probably assuming that the 1-piece will match.

I'm with you!ichobi wrote: ↑Sat Nov 30, 2024 5:43 amI don't think anyone rage about it. I raised the point about the Aethos having a tarmac fit in this thread and that it's somewhat disjointed to what the bike try to represent. it's just my opinion. Conceptually, aesthetically, the aethos isn't presented as a race bike so to many (including me) it feels weird to have quite aggressive geometry. It's okay to raise point when things don't conceptually fit? I mean it still sells well. It would have sold even better if the stack is a tad taller.EtoDemerzel wrote: ↑Sat Nov 30, 2024 3:14 amyeah bc it's a weird thing to rage about. It's like raging because a shoe size doesn't fit you.EddyTwerckx wrote: ↑Sat Nov 30, 2024 2:45 amHave you missed the hundreds of posts that fit this description? That point was brought up in this thread actually.EtoDemerzel wrote: ↑Sat Nov 30, 2024 2:41 amWhere is the outrage over Aethos geo being the same as the Tarmac?
I might even be correct re the aethos. Ask someone who has seen '25/'26 specialized lineup.
This is beside the point though. We can agree that the Addict geometry is rather extreme.

Because they'll see the early adopters doing better than they should be doing. Also Pogi and Remco are both pretty damn aero, their fits aren't as extreme as some of the others but they've taken parts of those fits and changed their fits. And people that are looking for marginal gains will follow everyone. If someone does something that seems like an advantage then others will follow. There's a lot of narrow bars and long stems in amateur races already.Kubackjeee wrote: ↑Sat Nov 30, 2024 5:50 pmNo offence but why do You think anyone will follow those anons You listed? I didn't see this paint job on the Scott website, weird, must be special edition. And I think they made a spelling error on the downtube, it's spelled S-C-O-T-T. Or maybe I'm in the wrong thread, I was looking for the Addict RC.Aeo wrote: ↑Sun Dec 01, 2024 4:51 amThe bike of another anonymous guyKubackjeee wrote: ↑Sat Nov 30, 2024 5:50 pmNo offence but why do You think anyone will follow those anons You listed? Back to the topic of the thread, anybody able to buy one yet? Are dealers allowing orders? I'm curious how long it'll be until they're actually shipping.

It seems like some models are already in the shops. My dealer told me that the roll-out depends on the country and some shops got the bikes even before the release...however he expects to get his deliveries in January - apparently it's "first come first served" so I pre ordered my RC20 model right away!
Maybe ask your local Scott dealer about availability in your country.

Then you are in the 5% of people I mentioned.Lakal wrote: ↑Fri Nov 29, 2024 7:38 pmThis bike fits more than semipros/pros. I am not a semipro/pro and I would still need a 130mm stem just to get in a decent race position on this bike.KalleWirsch wrote: ↑Fri Nov 29, 2024 4:40 pmThe question is why they don´t sell a bike which fits the 95% nomal people and the 5% pro- and semi-pro racers need to change parts?
Instead they sell a bike which fits the 5% and doesn´t fir the 95%.
Do they really think I will buy a non-fitting bike for 13.000 EUR and then spend on top money to swap parts to make it fit?

Cannondale SuperSix Evo or Canyon Aeroad are also race bikes, bit don´t have such a low and long geo like the Addict RC for people 175 / 180 cm tall.
So, calling a bike a "race bike" is not an argument.
