This sure doesn't look like the current gen DuraAce to me.... could it be!?
because it's look like a rendor to me.
Colnago has plenty of renders on their site of the current dura ace. This is different.
yeah ? it's render.. it's not real . Think whatcha wanna think, it's nothing.

I think we might see a new Dura-Ace groupset in 2025. I'm just speculating though based on Shimano's past product cycles. Seems that, with the exception of the Covid yrs, Shimano was releasing a new version of Dura-Ace every 4 yrs. If I'm not mistaken, Dura-Ace was last released for sale in the 2nd half of 2021. So, going off a 4 yr product cycle, we should see the new Dura-Ace group available for sale towards the 2nd half of 2025. If so, then we should expect to see some pro riders, using the new groupset in the 2025 Tour de France, and possibly even in the Spring Classicsprior to the Tour.

Last Dura-Ace was delayed a year and launched with Ultegra which is unusual so by their 4 year cadence we are already off schedule from R9200 and didnt recover. From what I recall they blamed a factory fire or something which is a production thing but clearly R&D is late too as they bleed market share to SRAM.

I'm hoping for 2025 but there is so much backed up on MTB and there have been more MTB and gravel patents getting posted, so for a usual ramp up to a road groupset launch this would be more stealth than usual.

If I had to put numbers on it I would guess 20% chance of 2025 and 75% chance of 2026.

I'd say Cues is more likely on the road side - Tiagra/Sora/Claris are well overdue their updates and there's almost undoubtedly electronic gravel/MTB coming next year. Would be very surprised to see new DA as well.

I'm not sure...but I don't know where I read that the Tiagra??, Sora and Claris probably won't have any new updates and will disappear in the "world" of road/urban/trekking CUES...there is a Di2 11s CUES change in STEPS...who knows if they would do something specific for the road in low ranges...it's strange that they let the Tiagra die, which was a "worthy" group for not very demanding use on the road without something similar in CUES.

I think that Shimano would've wanted to release Dura-Ace in 2020, in keeping with their 4 yr product cycles for Dura-Ace, but because of Covid supply chain issues and market volatility, they decided to delay that release date to 2021. However, this was a break from their norm. Shimano would've been incentivized to release Dura-Ace after getting their pre-release marketing, and 2020 was an Olympic yr in Tokyo. All of that, including those Olympics and the later release of Dura-Ace were delayed one yr to 2021.

If Shimano returns to its 4-yr product cycle, then that would mean Dura-Ace would be released in the second half of 2025. If not, then they will likely release Dura-Ace in the 2nd half of 2026. One thing that Shimano has always done is supply prototypes and the more finished Dura-Ace groupset to its pro-Tour teams prior to officially releasing it to the public months later. So, my guess would be that if we start seeing leaked photos and pro riders on the new Dura-Ace in the Spring Classics and later in the 2025 Tour de France, then it's more likely that Shimano will release Dura-Ace for sale in 2nd half of 2025. My bet is if by the Tour de France 2025, we don't see anything, then it'll probably be released in 2026.

I dont think they would like to wait for another whole year without releasing or launching when SRAM is taking quite a stride in both OEM side, and screen time. At least if it were me I wouldn't have done that. July launch for the Tour. Consumer gets their stuff in Fall, as usual. Looks like a good schedule to me.

From my reliable source, Dura-Ace R9300 will be full wireless, but still 12 speed. 😉

That’s too sad. I have my 12-speed built up as fully wired including the levers. Battery life is amazing, just like the 11-speed Di2.

I don't recall seeing 9200 prototype in pro peloton as much as other generations before production. It's probably due to Covd which had negative impacts on logistic and personnel. More importantly Covid also had negative impacts on the company's R&D and testing. I blam this for 9200 being the most problematic DA series in recent history with bad designed RD cage, clicking cassette etc. I regiliously switching to new DA every 4 years starting with 7900 and I hope the coming 9300 will be a winner out of box.

The one that everyone routes their chain through incorrectly? Pretty sure I made that mistake on my 11s too.

If not that I'm not sure which other tab you mean
