Are you the same type of person who claims steel bikes look so different but modern bikes all look the same?

Yes. Though now that I think about it, my comparison was unfair as that was still a prototype bike, same with the one tour reviewed in august. This one is race ready, so basically done with the development cycle. At the end of the day, we still have no precedent to how Decathlon handles these releases, they've barely just come in to the market. Could be a 2025 bike, could come in the next months.
It is true you cannot draw a line from one point - it is certainly driven by wishcasting on my part for something that can challenege the SystemSix while shaving a few hundred grams and taking advantage of the more modern regulations for the fork.
I can somewhat understand what those repeating it looks like a Venge are seeing, but the headtube, seattube, and BB area really are substantially different.

You yourself said they look nearly identical. Which they obviously don't. Yes they're race bikes made to UCI rules, they're going to be of similar design. But they're nowhere near identical like you said.

Yeah all the shapes look pretty close to the Venge. FCR looks like a modern version of the Venge.

What? If anything it looks close to a system6. Now if deep tubes and dropped ST make it a Venge
.
I wish it had more personality, something more radical (look style bayonette fork for example) but it is nowhere near a Venge.

I was a bit dissapointed by the relatively shallow fork, but I had a suspicion. Most forks on modern bikes are basically rectangles. If it's an "aero" bike the leading edge will be more rounded. It seems to me like the fork profile on the FCR is distinctly airfoil shaped. This could mean they already achieved most of the aero gains that can legally be found with the profile, so they opted to make it a bit shallower to make it a bit lighter.
Could also just be wishful thinking

Foil including previous gen, System Six, SSE gen 4, Venge, SL7/8, Propel including old gens, Aeroad, Ostro, all have truncated aerofoil legs, and most of them don't have very wide legs

I dont know how you assess cross sections based on photos like this, let alone are spewing conclusions like these based on just basic shape charts. Do you even know how wide and deep this profile even is? Can you estimate it with any accuracy at all? How would you account for the effect that the wheel and tire would have regarding the optimal shape of the fork?
Just chill and trust that the teams of engineers that worked on this stuff did a reasonable job thinking through both basic design and balancing system effects. Afterall, this is, by primary intent, an aero bike and it was designed in collaboration with some really sharp aero minds. It will also surely be tested, so you will get some comps to think about at some point too.
