New Garmin Edge 1050, X50 etc.

Leaks from China community. It's super super long, better appearence than 1040 IMO due to the length width ratio. However, probably not compatible with your current mount.

It looks about the same size as the current 1040 to me. Not loving the shaping either
Little googling says "The highlight of the Edge 1050 is likely to be its new display. Instead of the Edge 1040’s transflective display with a resolution of 282 x 470 pixels, the new LCD touch display of the Edge 1050 is supposed to have a significantly higher resolution of 480 x 800 pixels. As a result, the pixel density increases from 156 to 266 PPI. However, the display size remains unchanged at 3.5″."

Edit: I guess you meant overall size, maybe it's longer or maybe the mount location has been moved a bit

No, with 1040 you still have some gap to the stem with specialized/scott mount. 1050 almost closes the gap.cleanneon98 wrote: ↑Sat Jun 15, 2024 12:12 pmIt looks about the same size as the current 1040 to me. Not loving the shaping either

The igpsport is miles ahead of all of these mainstream computers in looks. Of course the software isn't as good, but it clearly shows it's possible to have a great screen with minimal bezels and a thin device.jlok wrote: ↑Sat Jun 15, 2024 3:18 pmyea... Yes... I mean... no matter how people say of the look of the new Garmin flagship, it will just sell well like... SL8... people had said the ugly head tube shape but still it sells well......gloscherrybomb wrote: ↑Sat Jun 15, 2024 3:57 pmThe igpsport is miles ahead of all of these mainstream computers in looks. Does look like it, I doubt transflective would work (or work in a meaningful way) at the stated resolution. If it's meant as the flagship model for ebike (so much money in the ebike market), endurance won't be an issue. An "Edge 1050" name certainly would, but looking at the eagerness Garmin introduces new names/models for watches, it won't be called Edge 1050.
