What made you decide for the EXS, seeing that you get the Rapier included with the frame? Sorry you might have explained this already.

I ordered in June at Florian Bikes and finally got confirmation that my size MR Chronos Spear arrived two days ago. It's now on the way to me. They admitted it was very challenging for them to get frames and parts. Demand seems to be very high

I had a good chat with Florian when I collected mine. Stock is finally coming in and they have some big shipments on the way. It's definitely a 2025 bikeMaddie wrote: ↑Wed Dec 11, 2024 7:44 amI ordered in June at Florian Bikes and finally got confirmation that my size MR Chronos Spear arrived two days ago. Great, really curious to hear how such a high end Chinese frame (well they all are Chinese, but you know what I mean) compares to the Western brands.gloscherrybomb wrote: ↑Wed Dec 11, 2024 10:23 amForecast looks ok through to the weekend... will get a couple of hours in and report back.
The typical consensus still seems to be that the Western brands built in a bit more compliance in their frames and that Chinese designed frames are a bit stiffer (and less comfortable?). Curious to see if this still holds true.

In theory compliance was a pretty key design metric, with significant seatpost flex too. I can attest to the cheaper Chinese brands being extremely stiff with my Yoeleo R12, probably more so even than my SystemSix. This is not much of a problem in Mallorca, but it makes a big difference in pothole ridden Lancashire. My expectations are that this will be a significantly more comfortably ride, but I'll report back if that is true.Requiem84 wrote: ↑Wed Dec 11, 2024 10:32 amGreat, really curious to hear how such a high end Chinese frame (well they all are Chinese, but you know what I mean) compares to the Western brands.gloscherrybomb wrote: ↑Wed Dec 11, 2024 10:23 amForecast looks ok through to the weekend... will get a couple of hours in and report back.

Definitely not the case with Seka Exceed, however, some might call it "too soft"
