I don't know if Magene P505 counts as a "famous Aliexpress part" but anyway I'm wondering if anyone has experience with it and a 105 Di2-setup. I read somewhere there isn't a lot of clearance to the front derailleur, but I have also read it's no issue.
I have been running it for a year with 105 Di2 (and 105 12s rings). Yes, the clearance is very tight, but there hasn't been any issues.

Anyone know of any quite light weight alloy handlebars on Aliexpress with 38mm width at hoods and a slight flare?
Reach/drop of the handlebar isn't too big of a deal.

I'm putting it on my aluminium bike as sort of a "try it out" but I don't want to spend too much. Trying to avoid buying a PRO Vibe Aero if I can.

I saw the UNO but they don't have flare and I would really prefer a bit more width when in the drops. There's also a UNO "gravel" handlebar but 40 at hoods / 46 at drops is a bit much. Max difference between hoods/drops preferably 4 cm, ideal is 2-3.

Personally I would just try and track down some FSA Energy Compact (or Super Compact). Probbably not Aliexpress cheap but depending on your local second-hand market you should be able to find them fairly cheap.

Has anyone found 'the perfect' wax heater? Preferably with temperature control. I have tried one, however, just after 5-6 uses it started bring the wax up to a boil immediately. The slow ramp in temperature was just gone. I'd really like to give aliexpress another try in this category!

Yea, Silca. Honestly, you can find 10-15% off coupons pretty frequently. At less than $100 it's worth it. Better than buying a $30 AliEx unit that dies in a few months and you have to buy another. And I love buying AliEx stuff.

The Silca one is just a rebranded wax heater for waxing legs. You can find a million of them on Amazon and Ali. Been using one for a year now and it's fine, just the size is a little small.

I am running it fine with an Ultegra 12-speed R8170 with no clearance issues after indexing the front derailleur. Currently using the P505 base with Magene's 52-36 chainrings but may switch to Ultegra chainrings at the next service. The local Magene dealer that installed my P505 base mentioned that the Magene chainrings are designed to mimic Shimano's chainline when installed on the P505 base and installing Shimano chainrings will change the chainline, but should still work (as also seen from the many pictures on Magene's Instagram of shimano chainrings mounted on the P505 base).

I have no experience to share, just a quick heads up that 105 di2 uses a different front mech than 8170 (it is bulkier and based on the 8070 front mech IIRC).

I'm using a magene powermeter with 11s 52/36 chainrings on 105 Di2. Clearance with the FD is very tight, maybe 2mm gap. It's been fine, the FD has never touched the crank. I suppose if someone was very heavy and a bike with a flexy BB it could be an issue

Can anyone recommend a lizard skin-like bar tape from AE?

I believe OG Evkin do one that's very similar in feel. It does however have their brand name embossed along the tape.

I have this one on my indoor bike and I would buy it again. It's on the heavier side though.
