This looks so good. I've just bought the same frame same size and going to build it up with basic heavy parts. 105 Di2, C38s and some pirated parts off my old bike. Mostly it'll be backup for my SL7 and used for Zwift. I'm almost regretting that strategy since yours is so pretty. It begs to shine in the sun.r33prman wrote: ↑Fri Apr 26, 2024 9:15 am
Just built this up.
58cm frame
Sl7 stem
Roval terra 38cm bars
Enve 5.6
30mm vittoria
Ti king cages
Galfer rotors
Force hoods and brakes
Rival XPLR mech and 10-44 force cassette
Alugear 50t on red 170mm cranks
Aerocoach chain catcher
7.95kg's with pedals and cages. I could definitely shed some weight with different wheels but ENVE
Rides so fine.

I'm about to start building a 2024 Allez Sprint. Can someone please tell me what size SRAM Flat Mount Rear Disc brake bolts are needed? I read elswhere that the bolts that come with the brakes are to short.
Thank you for your help

Just put a steel rule next to my frame. There's 30mm of frame between the head of the bolt and the caliper so I'd say 35mm?bigringfever wrote: ↑Fri May 03, 2024 5:57 amI'm about to start building a 2024 Allez Sprint. Doing some initial building on mine tonight and learnt a valuable lesson - don't try to push a Shimano SD300-I internal wire through from the RD frame entry port. There's a guide tube that is probably designed to stop the cable rattling that exists at the BB. I noticed that after the wire stopped pushing any more forward and I'd pushed maybe 3 cable ties in. It also wouldn't come back out until I forced it, stripping off the cable ties and leaving them stuck in the guide tube. Now I have to find something long and stiff enough (not funny) to push the cable ties through to the BB exit.
It probably tells you this in the manual, if I'd read it first.

Correcting myself - what I thought was a guide tube is not. It's more that the BB area is challenging with all the extra bracing. I probably could have persisted yesterday if I'd fished the tag end through correctly.
I found this out with a head torch and pushing a brake hose through the Di2 path to flush/push out the cable ties. Judicious usage of a few tools fished them out from the tight BB area.
Head torch will be essential when I push through the Di2 and brake lines.
I'm a little disappointed at the internal side of the welds at the head tube. As a once hobbyist tig welder I could do better by hand, although maybe not with aluminium side I didn't really weld it much (with stainless or mild steel definitely).

I've just started the build with a size 56 Gloss Blue Onyx + Sapphire Blue Strata Astral Blue frameset, yeah it's a tricky job getting the Di2 cable through the chain stay and over the top of the bottom bracket housing, what I'm more puzzled by is the location of the hole in the frame for the front derailleur!! Why is it so low and I'd have thought it would be right next to the derailleur mount! I'm not round to fitting it yet but already thinking the Di2 cable may rub on the rear tyre.
Any of you guys found this happening with Di2?

I routed the Di2 cable underneath the BB, per my user manual (or at least my Tarmac user manual) I think.
The FD cable doesn't rub. There's plenty of space for me with Conti 5000 28s. What annoyed me though is there was no rubber grommet for the cable exit in my pack. Instead I took a blanking grommet and punched a hole in it.

Been using my Diverge for road duty with 404FC's and 34mm Corsa Controls...going to build a dedicated road bike as I'm tired of the compromises a gravel bike brings. I've been all over the place in my thought process from Foil, S5 or Ostro to an Emonda ALR or Allez Sprint, but have pretty much decided on the Allez. I know that the geo works for me, I like the tire clearance and for some reason I'm just really vibing with the idea of an aluminum bike built up with top level gear.
I know I'm amongst the converted here, but can anyone give me an idea of ride quality of an Allez Sprint compared to other bikes they've had in the past. I've ridden carbon, steel and aluminum over the past 20+ years but it's been a long time since I've been on AL. I'll be on 32's at the narrowest and have relatively good roads where I live, but do a 4-6hr ride every Saturday and another 2-3hrs on Sundays and was wondering if there's anyone else out there that has any feedback on that kind of riding with an Allez. Everything I've read is positive on the ride quality but seems to referring to 2-3 hrs at a stretch. I guess I still have a bit of the 90's view of aluminum floating around in my brain and am looking for reassurance.

Hi Motard. I’ve just taken mine out this morning first ride, it’s superb absolute bargain. I have an S-works SL7 which I love to bits and there is very little in it apart from some obvious weight I’m really impressed with the Allez Sprint, can stick it on the trainer in winter too.
