Hi Motard. I’ve just taken mine out this morning first ride, it’s superb absolute bargain. I have an S-works SL7 which I love to bits and there is very little in it apart from some obvious weight I’m really impressed with the Allez Sprint, can stick it on the trainer in winter too.
Thanks Nick. I appreciate your feedback and comparison to the SL7. I live in relative flatlands...and I'm 194cm, not that concerned with an extra half a kilo. I need to get off my ass an pull the trigger before the colorway I want from last year sells out at the vendor I found it at...

I finished building a 58 Allez Sprint about a week ago. I've logged a few hundred kilometres on a trainer and about 15km on the road. It's very comfortable and a great ride on the flat roads around here. Very heavy though, with 105 Di2 7170 series. But yes, it rides very well. If I wanted to build it up with lightweight gear I'm sure it would make a great single quiver bike.

Thank you for taking the time to reply. I appreciate it. I'm trying desperately hard to not get too crazy taking on the fools errand of attempting to build a heavyish frameset into a really light bike...if I can keep it at a normal level of crazy I'll consider it a win. Been thinking Dura Ace this whole time, but that's mostly an ego exercise for me at this point (which can be a totally valid reason why I decide to go that way). Thinking I might be able to get it around 8kg with DA, a Power2Max Rotor ALDHU Carbon crankset, EXS Aerover bar/stem, CRW 50/60 wheels, etc. Big bikes are a challenge to compare to all the 52cm stuff around here, but it's the price we pay for being tall. :D

Just built this up.

58cm frame
Sl7 stem
Roval terra 38cm bars
Enve 5.6
30mm vittoria
Ti king cages
Galfer rotors
Force hoods and brakes
Rival XPLR mech and 10-44 force cassette
Alugear 50t on red 170mm cranks
Aerocoach chain catcher

7.95kg's with pedals and cages. I could definitely shed some weight with different wheels but ENVE :)

Rides so fine.

Sorry to side track , can't help but asked does the 30mms on 5.6 feel sluggish ? Considering that it wasn't optimised for it.
Personally owned 5.6 but in the market for new wheelset with modern rim widths.

Hey mate, I've been on 30's on these wheels for over 12months now. They are the older hooked version. Yep they aren't super wide rims but they aren't slowed down at all on 30's. Infact I've got a few descent pr's on them.

Most importantly for me they are comfy.

Some really tough looking bikes in here!

I gave up trying to hunt down a 2020 MEET YOUR MATCH Allez Sprint, then I thought I'd settle on any colour available, but I had a really hard time trying to buy a new frame in size 49 (I'm 169cm and sizing down). A shop in another state slashed the price off a brand new 2022 Allez Sprint in size 49 that had been sitting built up in their shop for a few years and I pounced on it.

Initially I was a little underwhelmed and didn't feel that it was as fast as people have made it out to be, but I've since got the fit much more dialed in by swapping out the -6 80mm stem for a Kalloy Uno V2 -12 100mm, lowering it and fitting some ENVE 65's. Bike feels fast AF now. Visually I think the rim brake frames looked way tougher with the fatter seatpost, the gap between the seatpost and the rear tyre just doesn't look right to me and whilst I appreciate the semi-integral cable routing, the sight of the brake and gear cables under the stem bug me more than they should.

Above all, the weight weenie inside is crying though as this bike, despite it's tiny frame, weighs in at a HUGE 8.68kg's (inc pedals and cages).

I've spent countless hours trying to figure out how to shave 1kg off the bike without having to get lighter wheels. Going 1x, Dura Ace upgrade, AliExpress lightweight cassette, lightweight chain, carbon saddle, carbon integrated bar and stem, Ti bolts... it goes on and on (I think I'm going mad!). I love the bike more and more each time I ride it though, which reminds me that this bike was never meant for a weight weenie build in the first place!

Jayse- Did you use the 56mm headset cover that came with the Deda Superbox stem? Did you have to rig anything up or was it all pretty simple and just fit? Can you use any bar with the Deda Superbox or does it have to be a Deda 33.7 instead of the standard 33.8? Thanks in advance!!!

Hey there. Can anyone tell me the difference between these two colors? I believe the second one is current and first one is previous year but I don't know what the difference is to the naked eye. Official photos don't tell me much.

Hi mate, its using the headset cover it came with. The shop i had it built up in said it was a little fiddly routing all the cables and getting it all tidy, but nothing too crazy.

Current bars are the Pro Vibe Aero alloy, so you should be ok with other bars.

Nope... my own decals.

I have a friend that wraps vehicles... I do the pattern design and he prints the vinyl sheets for me. I have the logo files and access to a vinyl cutter at my work, so I cut my own decals from the vinyl sheets.
