From what I heard some time ago they made their last orders for many sizes and SKUs from the factories in the middle of last year. Existing model is basically discontinued and there won't be a direct replacement.
Presumably this is an indirect replacement as this also wraps the foot, albeit with a totally different fastening arrangement. Toe looks much flatter and wider than any of their existing shoes.
specialized team deals are head to toe. No other brands. Also Evenepoel is the biggest asset. No way they'll let him wear another brand.
In one of his videos, he also said the likes the Ares a lot, so i assume this is the prototype for a successor.
The material looks somewhat thin. Maybe a lightweight shoe like they did before with the EXOs

The toe box bears more similarity to the Lake CX201 than anything else I can think of. It's so wide, square, and looks like it lacks any upward curve (though could be internal as per Bont).
It can't be that close to launch if it doesn't have an S logo on it.

There's a shift (and rightly so) towards wider toe boxes so I can see it - I notice a few pros are using Lake for the 2024 season (Fred Wright is on CX403's and Jaames Shaw CX333's) - and there is no-one better that Specialized at separating riders from their cash.
I agree with the looks being a departure from the last few generations of S-works shoes... At a glance I get a Shimano S-Phyre vibe from them, the low profile and heel cup, with black contrasty bits... I could see a place for another shoe in the S-works lineup though, with the Exos and Ares being cleared out. I absolutely love my Torch's, but perhaps a "summer" type version that is a bit lighter.

I recently got my hands on the S-Works Exos road shoes, absolutely amazing! They need to do another run of these, supremely comfortable!

Definitely do not look like S-Works.

There's no way Remco would wear a different brand shoes.
