New ares shoes possibly? Looks like they are working on the main problem people faced by removing the sock material to keep it easier to clean ,not 100 percent sure but definitely looks like a ares shape with recon body or vice versa.Would be a great shoe if they are going to sell so hopefully available soon enough 🤞Image

Whatever it would be, please release the wide fit (same width as the Torch) in any colour other than black.

Sworks in regular width is already very wide. Are you a platypus, by chance?

LOL

Simply wide feet. I'm wearing S-Works Torch Wide fit with Lake carbon insole. They're great!

While the Torch has a very voluminous toebox, the rest of the shoe is not particularly wide. And the Ares is quite narrow all around.

Yes. As an example Lake is wide almost everywhere. I like the heel retention of the Torch as it fits me very well. Not saying they're better than the others, just fit me.

Although the regular Torch model is wider than previous versions in the toe box, it is actually pretty much a standard size shoe. The standard torch is about the same as a wide model Shimano or a standard Trek RSL. I measured the standard Shimano at something like 90mm, the Trek RSL was 95mm, like my old Bontrager XXX shoes, and the Torch in regular fit was in between the 2, same for the wide model of the Shimano RC903, sitting in between.

I ended up buying the Torch in wide fit, and it measures 100mm, finally a properly wide shoe in the toe box. And I am no platypus, I have regular width feet, size D. But under load I measured the width of my feet at 98mm, EU size 43. Even shoes like Lake and Bont, the footbed is standard width ~95mm but it is the last that is accommodating to wider feet (plus in the case of Lake people complain in the wide model the heel feels loose). With the Torch in wide size, the footbed is actually wider than standard shoes (this can be problematic if you are trying to get stock aftermarket insoles, I got custom insoles). For me these are the best shoes I ever wore, no more issues with hot feet or numbness, perhaps it is because I am used to wearing barefoot sneakers that allow my foot to naturally splay under load.
