I only have a few pairs for comparison, but my SW Torch have the widest toe box of any shoe I own or have tried: SW Torch, SW Ares, SWorks 7, DMT KRSL, Shimano RC901, Fizik (forget what models but all pretty narrow, didn't keep), Giro Empire Lace. I don't have the widest foot, but it was very noticeable coming from the Giro and Shimano shoes the extra room.
New 2024 S-Works shoes upcoming?

Yes but these have nothing to do with the prototypes shown before
Yes, you always have to do that. CX403s are categorically not designed to be wearable without moulding.StevieB wrote: ↑Thu Feb 01, 2024 4:57 pmMy 403's are wides of course (using the old sizing; regular in the '24 sizing scheme), so that might explain it. They are hugely wider than the Ares were in the same size, and a bit wider up front than my Bont Vaypor S wides. They were still too narrow back around the rear Boa and would have been unwearable out of the box, so I had to heat them up and open up the "tub" in that area to match my Platypus feet!

Unfortunately, my feet are very narrow, and the trend seems to be going wider with Specialized. My S-Works 6 shoes fit like a glove (narrow last). I tried the 7 in narrow but too big. S-Works Torch work with a custom insole, but the insole destroyed the breathabilty of the shoe.

looks like a successor to the Exos - no hard heel counter, single Boa, super thin and pliable upper material. Great if the last works for you, not so much if it doesn't.
Way it looked on Remco, more like an Ares successor given the way it wraps - though different boa / fastening arrangement. Also very clearly wide toebox - more than Ares and Torch. Exos was narrow.

agree looks like a new Ares. Doesn't look bad but doesn't look great either...RDY wrote: ↑Thu Jun 27, 2024 8:01 pmWay it looked on Remco, more like an Ares successor given the way it wraps - though different boa / fastening arrangement. There won't be a lace version. Upper would require a complete redesign. Last / sole may be their new template going forwards though.
Hopefully there will be wide version like the Torch.
