In Europe there is no option frameset only. Propel and tcr can be obtained as frameset only.
Hopefully next year this option will also become available in Europe.
I like to build my bikes myself and the colours of the complete bikes are not the fanciest.
The white TCR frameset is stunning but too extreme for me.
BTW the 2024 defy frameset is still available at some shops in Europe.

Still a bit of a work in progress with the bar and stem (going narrower and longer), but I just put the road wheels back on for fun.
Looks really good with the long stem and deep wheels!

Could anyone who has a 2024 defy measure the actual (Giant says there is room for 40mm tires max) clearance at the BB area?
Thanks!

Oficially you can fit 38mm tyres, and I wouldn't try get much more in there. I run 35c Pirelli Cintauro, which measure to about 37 and give 6ish mm on all sides from memory.

Thanks. I think it's 40 mm officially.

I've been wondering if I could get a 45mm in there, using it as a speedy gravel bike (riding in the dry only). Might be a bit too ambitious...

The SL frameset lists as 40mm clearance, but the bikes all say 38mm. I say typo, but screenshot it and run 40s so you can have a warranty.
In these new endurances frames if one loses the front derailleur one gets 2mm extra. Maybe they are saying 40mm at the frameset but any of their builds are 2x thus 38mm.

Hi there, I would appreciate a little bit of help. I own an old Defy Advanced SL with ISP and I measure a distance of 75cm between the middle of the BB and the saddle rail clamp. I wonder whether the seatpost of the new Advanced SL in size M is long enough to get 75cm.

I ride a medium 2024 Defy Advanced pro- saddle height to top of saddle is 75.5cm. There is ample seatpost in the frame to accomodate that extra height.

Just built this up. 7,3 kg. Defy SL - Ultegra Di2, Roval Rapide CL II
Giant always impresses in the weight department.
Is that the frame set only colorway or the sl top end version sold as frame only for personal build?

Yes. I am quite happy with the weight. This is the top version. Found it on Ebay from a guy in the Pacific who was selling a whole bunch of Giant bikes. Stood between this and Enve Melee for a long time, but this came out the cheapest and I could build it up with my preferred parts. First ride report will come after this weekend.
