Little tip for anyone who doesn't like the fact that the Spesh mount tilts down instead of level.. I put a small piece of bartape (approx 10mm x 4mm) on the lowest inside edge of the mount (between mount & bars), so it is hidden, but keeps the mount & Garmin level.

People who have a hard time fitting bar onto steerer,
I know pretty common knowledge but just to make sure...
Are you installing the expander plug and tightening it before you put the bar on? That might be your problem.
When you put the expander in and tighten it inside steerer, the steerer diameter grows ever so slightly.
Put expander in without tightening, slide bar on, tighten expander, then tighten bar stem pinch bolts.
I know pretty common knowledge but just to make sure...

Yep that does make it easier. Although If you need to adjust the bars once the plug's in then using a tyre lever as suggested earlier is a great method. I have found some Ti bolts, but I'd prefer to use Aluminum and I haven't found a good source for this.

Are any of them actually tilted down? I looked at a few and they all including mine set parallel to the ground. Since the stem is -6 degrees it creates an illusion that the mount is tilted down but it's actually not. Hey everyone.
I have the roval Garmin mount and it seems there is some play between the gps and the mount. Sometimes I hear a rattle noise with road vibration.
It seems the gap between the Garmin adapter and the Garmin back over is bigger than it should be.
Is this supposed to be normal?
Or an aftermarket Garmin mount could solve the issue?

Mine was definitely tilted down (checked with spirit level), and have seen a few others similar pictured in this thread as well. I suppose it depends on your frame size as that will dictate the head tube angle, maybe smaller (54 & below) frame sizes it's less of an issue? My frame is 56 (also a SL6), it was a few mm's tilted down but with the sliver of tape it is now level.
