When is the frame only option going up for sale? I'm going to be in Europe and I was hoping to pick a couple up.
NOW WITH MORE FLAVOR THAN KOOL-AID!

I'm 129 lbs! How's that for light!

according to cade media: april 2024
according to earlier online articles: not before 2025
according to decathlon support when asked by myself: no plan to sell the frameset on it's own

What about the cockpit the pro team is riding? I've heard May a few months back. Any update on that? I am interested in it very much, especially given that the stock bar on my RCR is quite wide.

WT Bike now announced on the website... but no availability yet, 8700e (9000€-300 in credits), that is 900€ less than the very same equipment Aeroad DA 9250.

Maybe same equipment, but that Van Rysel is horrible looking compared to the Canyon. That headtube and fork... look so cheap. And the stem is atrocious, pointing out to your knees. The painjob and little details don't look worth that money. Van Rysel bikes might be ok if you are spending 3 or 4,000 euros but no more

True, but you can chance the cockpit (stem and/or) handlebar to your liking on the van rysel, contrary to the canyon.

But yeah, DA version seems a bit overkill.

The Fork and Headtube looks ok to me on the Van Rysel, not terrible, not great. It's true that you can swap the cockpit/handlebar on the Van Rysel, but then that will eat into most of the savings between the VR and the Canyon.

I really wish Canyon hadn't gone with that stupid proprietary design on the Aeroad, and make it virtually impossible to specified a different stem length at point of purchase. I really like a lot about the Aeroad, and it would be high on my list to purchase, but that bar is a deal breaker for me.

I had a chance to shortly ride Van Rysel through Decathlon sponsored rider. Looks okay, feels stiff, quite harsh ride :D

Just buy online van rysel sram force with zipp 404 firecrest, had the luck to have 10% discount code so 4500 euro for the bike.
Was thinking that at that price i can nearly resell all parts and make profit.
Will receipt it end of last week, picture will come. If anyone want any info, i will be welcome.
Currently had giant tcr pro 0 disc 2021, i will not resell it for now so i will be able to compare bike.

Congrats!

I am curious of some parts weight (the seatpost for example), doubt you will strip the bike to get the frame weight .

If I had to buy a new bike that would probably be the RCR pro Ultegra. 5200, turned full DA 9200 and a pair of top tier wheels and cockpit of my choice would be cheaper than either the Team replica version… or any other option on the market.

Yesterday I went to a nearest Decathlon shop where there's a freshly opened dedicated Van Rysel section and a work person said that the Team replica framset will start be selling on 20th week of this year, i.e. mid May. They weren't very specific about the price but said it'd be £3-3.5k.
There's no info about then a non-RCR-Pro frames will be availible for sale.
The person I spoke to was involved into a photoshoot of bikes and he confirmed that RCR Pro is "very stiff", like, "every bump of a road is felt". They normally ride an EDR bike.

Also, they have a bike fitting room in the store, as of now it's not operational though. At the moment, they don't provide ability to customise a bike, like, choosing the handlebar width, cranks leght, etc, but they will offer a "fit first, buy after" program at some point.
