Swapping a BB to get a reliable E1 crank is quick. Surprised by the number of people who would rather get one of these cranks in 24mm.

I agree with you, but I have a 2 years old CS coated BB for Shimano 9200 and I don’t like the idea of getting rid of it.. so while looking for making it lighter I’d also like to keep the BB

Just curious as a thm clavicula owner myself - does anyone really send them back for checking, and are there reported cases of failure which resulted from. Them. Not being checked past 10k km?

The Eiliee ti axle crankset is news to me, any source or info about it currently?

I have messaged Elilee and the comms are ok. But I'm still swayed towards Cybrei as well the Pandapodium customer service is really good from my own personal experiences and I have my doubts with that with Elilee.

There is not much to say like everyone has said as nothing much to report.
Elilee have a new 24mm TI axle coming at the end of year they have said called X-Trecento will be released in the end of this year weight 290g.
They have just change there X320 for the X310 the names a giveaway 10g saving.
And Cybrei are also releasing a 24mm Ti axle September so may wait it out.

Why what's up with 24mm.
I'm using my DA on the SL8 so as to not get a new BB I'm thinking 24mm Ti axles cranks but I have been told go for the DUB.
Anyone have any technical answer on 24mm over DUB or is there basically none, I was lead to believe DUB has slightly better stiffness

I guess the hate for 24mm steel spindles is due to 30mm aluminium spindles being lighter, but Shimano has persisted with the use of 24mm steel spindles for their cranks at the expense of weight. Not sure about stiffness - hard for the average rider to measure and probably irrelevant. Weight on the other hand is easy to measure and hey this is weightweenies.

Now that titanium 24mm spindles are becoming more common the weight argument is less "weighty", but on the other hand carbon 30mm spindles exist and are even lighter. So yeah 24mm is considered obsolete and SRAM DUB represents the "best" all-round reliably/price/durability cranks available.

Had the THM cranks but binned them of I'm 85kg and any out of the saddle efforts with high torque would result in an noisy as f@ck cranks /BB.
Tried all the advice preload got an new BB with no luck so in the end went back to DA nice and quiet 😊.
However DA is heavy and the WW in me has me drawn back to carbon cranks.
I have looked at the Lexon carbon crank thinking shall I order one strip the crappy logos off and give it a punt but not so keen on potential failure 😂.
Cybrei's Ti crank will be 20g heavier they said.
I also fear that the DUB spindle will be noisey like the THM so I am unsure whether to pull the trigger but so far everyone is coming back with positive comments.

I was a bit unsure about the carbon axle although I have had the THM crank and you have to check it or send it back to them after 10,000km to be check so I am concerned about wear.
That was a typo somewhere, right? It's 100000km (based on the manuals which I read).

In the manual they state that the service life is 100.000km or 10 years.

Now I'm sure ppl have bought this so any reviews? also anyone bought the Eililee Cranks and well. Not many reviews on insta or YT.
Got rid of my THMs cranks and went back to Shimano DA as the THM was fiddled with preload and being 85kgs any steep out of saddle climbing it was noisy as F@ck! Would love some real world reviews
Would you mind to elaborate ?
Just want to see if my experience is the same yours.

No noise on my side (76kg) only rotor noises :)

On another note, note sure why buy Cybrei now when the new Red AXS cranks are even lighter than previous model at just @310 gram wiht rock solid preload.

The noise I deteremined was from the bottom bracket, mainly out of the saddle high torque efforts say when going round a steep bend or steep climb.
Other than that it was was fine but when I was in Majorca for example it was just annoying so i deceided to sell the crank.
I dont get any noise at all from the DA cranks nice and quiet :)
I know I want a new crank just wanting to make sure I make the right decison buy severly overthinking it  also I love a discount not keen on payimg full whack!
Even 5% will do

Get the Cybrei DUB ya chonk.

Have one here, it's very well made (have sanded it back to bare carbon and impressed with quality before respraying).

Slightly heavier than RedE1 though. I've got 170mm here if you need one, mate.

Anyone have the Cybrei carbon or Alu chainrings with DA.

I have 54/40 DA but they only seem to offer 54/38T.
Obviously they will not be a smooth as DA but anyone's thoughts on shifting performance would be appreciated?
May just go Carbon Ti
