Hello. Regarding the group set, there is any crankset and cassette that i can use with it?
Shimano claims only Ultegra and durace are compatible with the group, is that true?

at least the one I have and from other experiences in a Spanish forum, they are going well.....at least in the short/medium term.....the Wuzei are light, not as expensive as the S-Road cassettes

And across the internet do you see only complete Shimano groupsets on bike builds?

That's the reason I made the tread. I was thinking some parts may are more compatibles than others.
For example i see a lot of rotors crank.

The Shimano 12s cranks shift much better than the Shimano 11s cranks when using a 12s FD. Chainring spacing is closer with 12s rings.

Yea i know but seems the Shimano cranks are easy to break.
The alternative cassette i need for my trainers.

The rotor cranks can be used with the Shimano crankset rings, the only issue is the rotor chainline is 43.5 mm and the new 12s Shimano chainline is 44.5mm. I don't know if it is possible to use a spacer either on the crankset at the BB or at the rear cassette to compensate, but if so that might be a possibility. Also, leaving the stock 43.5mm chainline for the rotor cranks will work relatively well but if you want the exact same shifting as with Shimano cranks, I think you need to use their rings and have exact chainline measurements, which will be hard to source third party.

As for Shimano crank durability, I think I heard some people mention the 105 cranks don't have the same issues with the bonding and corrosion as the Ultegra and Dura Ace cranks have, so that is another option.
