Hi everyone,
I have the opportunity to get a Supersix evo 2 in ultegra either sonic blue or meteor gray. New for 4865€, is it a good deal ?
I come from a ridley fenix slic105 di2, so I think i would be a nice upgrade.
The only thing is that my ridley is made from the highest grade of carbon fiber ("elite") while the cannondale would be the lowest tier after lab71 and himod. So i still don't know

Could I please get some sizing advice.
179.5cm tall. Short reach though. I am all legs.
Not sure of inseam.
54 or 56?
One of my existing bikes is an older Cervelo R5 in size 54. It has a stack / reach of 555 / 378mm which compares favourably to a size 54 SuperSix EVO.
I am not necessarily a fan of having a massive saddle to bar drop but it's what my bikes tend to end up with to accommodate my body type. It's either that or a crazy short stem on the next size up.
One worry with size 54 is seat post extension and reaching the limit.
Would appreciate any thoughts.

910 gram frame vs around 780. not a huge difference. you'll notice not a great deal of weight, though the R45's are not light wheels (but they spin well). the carbon layup is different to the lab71's on this bike but not to the extent it would affect 99% of the people in the real world.EINSTEININHO wrote: ↑Sat Nov 23, 2024 7:26 pmHi everyone,

Mine is a turquoise color. Not sure if that's the most recent but I've never had any issues. Hylix seatpost, 90kg rider. I have about 3,000 miles on mine. Zero creaks, zero hassle.

If you have same number of spacers, same stem angle and same handlebar reach as your R5, a 54 Supersix will end up ~3mm shorter reach, 8mm higher
56 will be ~6mm longer and 28mm higher
I'd go for a 54 personally but I do like big drop. When looking at the reach / stack, don't forget to account for seat tube angle which contributes to reach as well.

Thanks for the reply. It's an older R5 so the comparison is this.
Am running a 100mm stem on the R5. There is a lot of seat post extension but still within the limit.
Maybe I'm too small for a 54 SSE. Also matybe I'd reach the maximum seat post extension.
Are there any 179-180cm people here? What size are you on?

I honestly couldn’t tell you. I greased it up like they tell you and put carbon gripper on the seatpost surface and haven’t looked at it since. Sorry I can’t be more help.RDY wrote: ↑Tue Nov 26, 2024 1:54 pmAre the contact points all chamfered now?EddyTwerckx wrote: ↑Tue Nov 26, 2024 1:37 pmMine is a turquoise color.
