Hi
my new Lapierre Xelius SL 9 is suffering from a heavy stem and handlebar.
Handlebar is 260g and stem is 240g.

....and I think you agree, both are no beauties either.

So i am looking for a new stem and handlebar, maybe even in one piece.

The handlebar needs a hole in the middle of the stem clamping zone. Those handlebars seem to be rare.

Do you have any suggestions for handlebars ans stems, together about 300g?
Less would not hurt either :D

Used to ride a Darimo handlebar which looked really nice. But no holes there. But i think a combined stem-handlebar would look even nicer.

Thanks a lot
Bye
Tobias

Hi Ares
thanks for your reply.
You mean the Specialized SL7 cockpit?

Have a look at Black Inc. I believe their integrated bar meets your criteria. Very happy with mine. Not cheap though.

I have OG EVKIN HB 1300 handlebar (380/100) with custom made spacers on my Lapierre.

Although I have a Pulsium 5.0 disc instead of a Xelius I was hoping you could share some of your knowledge with me as the bikes appear to share the same headset.
Over the past week I have been in contact with Acros to figure out if I could use their headset cover (https://acros-components.com/en/headset ... le-routing) in combination with regular spacers such that I can switch to a different, regular, bar-stem combo. This would work, albeit with a different compression ring, but it would leave a 2-3mm gap between the headset cover and the frame, which is not satisfactory for me.

Do you know how the front hydraulic hose is routed, does this enter via a hole in the steerer tube, and as such do you recon the deda dcr headset would be compatible? The deda superbox or vinci are on my shortlist.
Furthermore, what option did you end up going with?

Is that the blue purple lightest team layup Xelius 2022?

My dream frame 😍 so gorgeous! Not even crazy expensive like s works but impossible to buy.

That bar is crazy light. Nice find! Let us know what you think about it
