Do you know what else has changed on the new release?Lakal wrote: ↑Mon Nov 28, 2022 5:26 pmAn updated version was released in 2021.Nickldn wrote: ↑Mon Nov 28, 2022 4:43 pmI wonder if the Primavera design has changed. My other half runs a pair of 38's with mechanical Ultegra and absolutely no problem with shift and brake cable routing. They are a few years old tho.zappafile123 wrote: ↑Mon Nov 28, 2022 10:07 amOnly get the Primavera if you run eTap or Di2. The drillings are really badly designed and you cant fit both the shift and brake housing through the bars. Aside from this fundamental design flaw which 100% warrants not buying them if you run mech groupsets, they are fine.stevec1975 wrote: ↑Tue Nov 22, 2022 6:51 pmPrime Primavera Aero?

Yeah, the old one was the Cougar Controltech, but much cheaper (in the UK at least). Also allows tri- bars to be clipped on, which is a great feature.
Are the new bars as stiff and comfortable? Is the clamping area still wide enough for tri-bars?

I bought my bars from Wiggle in June 2022. The bar routing does not accomodate mech shifting.

I ran mechanical DA and Hoses through the Prime Primavera Bar (you need to use Aliigator iLink's) but it is doable. Since switched to DA Di2 9200 so just the hoses now.

They claim that their bar is 21.4W faster than a round handlebar which is ridiculous.spartan wrote: ↑Sun Nov 27, 2022 2:26 amever mm counts. more narrow you gain 4-5 watts.

At best, an aero bar will get you 4 to 6 watts at 45kph, (we're talking the bar here, not the rider position)
I mean, the chart clearly states that they used a 184cm / 75kg rider, so those 21.4w are clearly factoring in both the bar shape and the rider position.cyclespeed wrote: ↑Tue Dec 20, 2022 8:50 amThey claim that their bar is 21.4W faster than a round handlebar which is ridiculous.spartan wrote: ↑Sun Nov 27, 2022 2:26 amever mm counts. more narrow you gain 4-5 watts.
