R9170 came out in 2017, R9270 in 2021, when is R9370 expected to be released? I am on R9170 and thinking to buy the 9270 for my new SL8 build, but I wonder if it's already too late and a new one is around the corner?

I'd say 2026, but I'm just guessing :)

Can anyone with R9200/R8100 confirm:
Is it true that the FRONT SHIFT NEXT can ONLY be assigned to one of the two TOP BUTTONS on these groupsets?
I find this weird since Shimano states:
"FRONT SHIFT NEXT also allows you to get more from Shimano 105 Di2 set-ups, which do not have an auxiliary button on the hoods. Instead of using both the left side lever blade buttons to manipulate the front derailleur, you can assign FRONT SHIFT NEXT functionality to one button and program the other button to flip through screens on your head unit."
But what about the groupsets that have auxiliary buttons? I was planning to assign FRONT SHIFT NEXT to the Left Big Paddle and use the Small Paddle as a LAP button for intervals. My top buttons are used for shifting the cassette when in aero position.

Nope. You can assign to any button.

Hi all,

My Di2 GRX keeps going into crash mode when I do hard shifts. I can't say for sure but the following has caused this to happen a few times: chain is in the little ring and I am shifting the rear derailleur into harded and harder gears, like I am getting ready for a sprint. And that is what seems to trigger it, and it on the smaller cogs if that helps.

Anyway, is there any solution to this? I did find a thread on Reddit claiming to have a solution but I have not tried it yet.
Here it is: https://www.reddit.com/r/cyclocross/com ... _ace_rear/

Thanks all.

Here is another question, is it possible to disable crash mode?

No. The crash mode is mechanical based. A spring loaded link disengages when the derailleur is forced beyond the limit of the spring loaded linkage. The crash mode recovery basically moves the RD to a position that resets the spring loaded linkage.

I think it may have been solved. The person who I am borrowering the bike from put on a wolf tooth hanger extender thing so he could use a larger cassette. The ace mechanic in our town said it actually wasn't necessary and the GRX could actually hit a 36 tooth cog no problem. He just removed the extender and it seems to be working!

Can someone chime in on your experience changing out the FD only on di2 12 speed? Do you have to create a new bike in etube or can you simply unplug old FD and plug in new FD and the app will know? Then on you go w/ adjustments? No change in RD (yet). Thanks!

Just swap out the FD and set it up (limits etc.) like you would normally :)

one of my left lever buttons just stopped working (it actually works ocassionaly). The big one to change from small to big ring.

Anyone who has opened it or something similar? is there any spring inside which I could check or is it just electronic?
