I'm having issues with 12 speed Ultegra on my Specialissima. Sometimes when I am on small chainring (34t) and bigger sprocket (i.e. 27t or 30t), the rear derailleur just jumps straight to smallest sprocket on its own out of nowhere (insert RKO meme here). I've had this happen 2 days now, after the first time it happened I updated firmware and it was fine for a while, today it started happening again and I noticed that there's a firmware update for shifters. Could it be related?
Also, when it starts happening, shifting becomes very unresponsive - sometimes it takes 2 or even 3 clicks to shift, even had the derailleur stop shifting altogether for a bit. Battery light indicator lights up green, meaning it is charged.

I want to move the lever closer to the handlebar on Shimano Ultegra 12-speed lever. Could not find any videos for free stroke adjustment. As all other levers had such screw, I assume the new version has one as well.
Any instuctions?

EDIT: Have found it. Beneath the lever there is a small screw.

I'm selling an EW-WU111 on eBay and a potential buyer asked if I reset the password to 000000 before removing it from my bike. I told him, no, I never changed the password from the default and it should still be 000000. Then he went on to tell me that Shimano has made some change and that my password won't work and that the unit is effectively worthless now.

Sounds like a load of BS to me. Every time I connect to my 9200 drivetrain I get prompted to change the password (which I don't). Not sure what Shimano would have changed so that the default on my wireless unit wouldn't work anymore. Does any of this sound partially true to anyone?

The default is still 000000, as far as I know.

Either way, they should be able to connect to E-Tube Project 3.4.5 or 4.0.4 using a windows laptop and the charger, and reset it to anything they like.

I buy and sell used a lot.

I would try to avoid selling to that potential customer just looks like trouble to me. They are trying to drive the price down over fake reasons, are preparing to scam, or would have issues with the product even when its fine.

If you do sell to them make sure to document the serial number, even better if it is shown in listing photos, so that if they try to return theirs you can tell the serial numbers apart.

Are there any reports (or were they) on battery drainage on 12speed Ultegra Di2?

Last week on the beginning of ride after a couple of kilometers I received low battery inrormation. And before the end of the ride (4,5h) the battery was dead. Have fully charged it. Next ride (2 days later) everything was OK. But next ride (4 days later) the battery was completly dead. Not even one shiffting possible.

Had to recharge the battery. Had to wait about a minute, that even the blue light went up. But did charge normally and could normally go on a 4h ride. For safety reasons, I charged the battery after the ride as well. Next day just checked the battery status on the head unit, and said 90%.

Do not know how will it progress, and will follow. But does anybody have any ideas what is happening?
The shifting positions were normal. So it was not constantly forcing to go in another gear while being still. So this common mistake hass been ruled out.

Faulty lever or leaned on the lever button (draining the battery by trying to shift constantly) would be my guess.

I'm riding Ultegra Di2 12-speed and charge every 500km or so. The battery is far from empty at that point still.

Today I wanted to go on a ride again (after 5 days) and again battery completelly dead. After the last ride, I have again fully charged it, to see what will happen in next days, and next day I checked the status through my head unit, and it was on 90%. And as there are steps with 10% going down with battery status, I thought it was OK. But today (4 days after last check-up) it was again completely dead.

Any ideas? I do not even know how to have this as a warranty claim. Bike is about 2-3 months old, and was bought online from diferrent country. And local bike shop does not know how would one check this over Shimano software. Actually said, that there is no way to check, other than disconnecting first one derailleur, and wait to see couple of days, and then again another one.

Anyone had an issue where their rd randomly shifts all the way to either the biggest or smallest cog without any buttons being pressed or held down or anything? Happened to me a few times.

I could swear it happened each time when I hit the page button on my wahoo. I've since disconnected it from my wahoo and it hasn't happened again but no idea what it is or why it happens.

Any ideas?

Could be a button malfunction... or crash mode I suppose... not sure. That hasn't to me yet.

Re: the battery question... I'd double check the battery first...
(fully charge the battery, then disconnect it from the bike. Place a dummy plug in the middle port. Check battery status next day :))

Right okay. Any idea how I could possibly troubleshoot that?

Going to repair with wahoo so I can shuffle through pages with a shifter button now that front shift next is a thing and I've got a free button.

Hasn't happened for a few months since I unpaired it with my wahoo, so maybe this will trigger it again.

Anyone have issues updating to 4.2.0 on the 105 R7170 levers? I hard wired them in and the app shows them as "wired" but no update available. It still has 4.1.0. Are these rolled out in batches so some may not get the notice? I already updated both derailleurs and battery to 4.2.0. Thoughts?

Gang, is it possible to build a 2x11 hybrid drivetrain where FD + shifter is mechanical but RD + shifter is Di2?
