You are correct; as both shifters are wireless they both need to be woken after a period of inactivity. It's caught me out a few times have being used to a wired 11sp setup.

Has anyone noticed their battery doesn't last as long after the recent firmware updates? I'm trying to see if it's just me. Thanks.

I was thinking the same thing; mine normally lasts 2-3 months; since the update its drained pretty quick, perhaps a month at most.

12 speed Dura-Ace, a new groupset with less than 2000km on it.
Sure, but as far as I know E-Tube Project may not work with your device if it's on the latest Android version. Shimano is working on a fix, but knowing them, it'll be a while
i've got a message from Shimano, I'm still on Android 14

Question: Is the RD guide also valid for mechanical Shimano stuff, e.g. the GRX 822 RD?
Especially the logic with no gap between the screw and the RD when ajdusting the Low-Limit like here? https://assets.bettershifting.com/adjus ... c9cf6b.png
Because I haven´t found this locig by looking at the gap in any Youtube Video. In the Youtoube tutorials they only do it by noise when pedaling. In my opinion the method with the gap is much more accurate and simple, but does it worl also for mechanical Shimano groupsets, like my GRX 822, because I have a small gap when shifting into the largest sproket (=lowest gear).
Thanks!

Not sure, to be honest - I don't have GRX 822 here - I'd follow the DM though... (pages 17 / 22 ish?): https://si.shimano.com/en/pdfs/dm/GARD0 ... 00-ENG.pdf

Exactly. I´m refering to page #22. The only sentence about the Low-Limit is:TerryDi2C wrote: ↑Mon Oct 14, 2024 11:54 amNot sure, to be honest - I don't have GRX 822 here - I'd follow the DM though... (pages 17 / 22 ish?): https://si.shimano.com/en/pdfs/dm/GARD0 ... 00-ENG.pdf
"Adjust by turning the low limit screw. Align the center of the guide pulley with the center of the largest sprocket while moving the guide pulley
using the shifter, etc"
So, they are telling me that I should do the Low-Limit by visually inspecting the chain line with the guide pulley, only!
Why not using "your" explanation with the stopper and no gap to the stopper? I think this is more logic to me, but I don´t know if it´s valid for the GRX 822, too. My logic says: "yes". Should be identical.
So after about 3 years and 24,000km I have my first issue with my Di2.
Only left lever seems to go into sleep mode? You press and press and then after 10 or so seconds it starts to work. Works for a while. Then in "sleep" again on the ride. Does not want to shift. Only left side.
1) This started to happen after the last time I charged.
2) Setup is wireless.
3) Batteries in levers are new. Replaced again just to make sure.
4) All firmware is up to date.
I did a wide search and there are a couple of simular issues across the world. Also left lever.
But nowhere can I find a difinitive answer to the problem? Maybe I just suck at searching.
Some solutions are to replace front battery. Done. Twice.
Some solutions say bad connection. In my case this is wireless. So not a
Some sugest to replace the main big battery? Dont understand this? Bug in battery which causes only left side signal receiving to malfuction?
Lever issue? This might be pricey to replace. I did open it up and there are no visual problems. Buttons are still firm. Springs fine.
Any ideas from the weenies that might have had simular problem which has a solution?
Thank you in advance.

Full diagnostics in a bike shop should recognise the problem. I had some problem with battery draining, and they run full diagnostics. Every button, ... So would probably detect also your problem. And if in warranty, you should get it repaired for free.
This also seems to be a common problem with 12-speed Di2 shifters, and it's worth checking https://youtu.be/WXLLEtmYl4k?si=izlTXdMbocZUI6zu

You're not wrong. Same issue here w/ long fingered gloves regardless of finger temp.Agent041 wrote: ↑Mon Aug 26, 2024 6:07 amI also ride in winter and frozen fringers and Shimano Di2 shifting is almost impossible. It is much better with 12speed as was with 11speed, as you can feel one button is more outwards, but when deeply frozen fingers, is still very hard to make the right shift.
I'm also looking for a solution that doesn't involve synchro shift, top buttons, etc.
Part of me regrets not getting new Red, but the Di2 shifts lovely front + rear.
