Well this took a LONG time to build the Ostro myself AND then to video edit, I have a new found appreciation for video editors, they make it look so easy.
Enjoy, my homemade Dream build video, Factor Ostro Racing Green size 52 with R8170 Ultegra 12 speed and Zipp 303 FC wheels.

Outstanding Video. Good job on the bike too. I thought the flow on the espresso was a bit fast :P . Interesting callouses on your knuckles? Martial arts?

Very nice! But with those wheels and a Berk saddle I would expect also a lighter total weight as well. Also the nice & new(er) DA discs . Beautiful (but indeed a little fast) "naked" shot!

I enjoyed your build vid. Well done for taking the time. Not easy to do the set ups for video while building.

I’m surprised you didn’t go for the direct mount RD hanger.

Great job and hope you enjoy it even more.

Me too, I think Cyclespeed said his was 6.25kg, not sure if thats a ready-to-ride weight.
I think the change in fork design and the glossy paint finish added to the overall weight. 902g for a frame only albeit with hangers etc is still alot. Fork itself was already 436g CUT.
DA vs Ultegra groupset is only about 300g
Zipps I thought were pretty good at 1352g
Seatpost....guess I could save up for Darimo 95g vs Factor 182g

I had a bike years ago and a German dude had almost same spec at one time. His weights on each component was lighter than my components. Every tiny bit.
So i concluded, either our scales are very different or someone has a happy scale.
And if you think about it, how many times have you had parts on a scale getting the exact number it says it is? (sold with that specified weight)
Bikes:

Ax Lightness Vial EVO Race (2019.01.03)
Open *UP* (2016.04.14)
Paduano Racing Fidia (kind of shelved)

Ex bike; Vial EVO D, Vial EVO Ultra, Scott Foil, Paduano ti bike.

Never even thought about the direct mount RD, maybe I should have. The bike is shifting very nice now so maybe next time I service it, I will consider it

Are there any specific benefits aside from the better protection in case of a crash?
