Petroleum based lubricants and carbon fiber....

My Extreme C and every other bike I have owned has used lithium white grease
and for high stress areas, red auto based bearing lubricant....
No issues whatsoever with the carbon...

But did I hear about some sort of incompatability with petroleum based lubes and carbon?
