It doesn’t use real USB PD. Type-C wall warts, host ports and cables generally don’t work. You have to use the provided A->C charge cable and Type-A wall warts, host ports.MayhemSWE wrote: ↑Fri Sep 16, 2022 12:12 pmWhat is it that the Bolt v2 is considered lacking? Fast charging by USB-PD?TobinHatesYou wrote: ↑Fri Sep 16, 2022 5:39 amIt'll have USB Type-C presumably...hopefully a real version, not the half-measure from the Bolt 2.

Hmm. Hadn't considered that, as I honestly would've expected any USB-PD charger to fall back to plain +5 VDC if nothing else was requested by the attached device.TobinHatesYou wrote: ↑Fri Sep 16, 2022 3:29 pmIt doesn’t use real USB PD. I have several USB-C multiport chargers from Ugreen all across my apartment and charge absolutely everything through them. Typically with a vanilla C to C cable, sometimes adding a C female to micro-B male adapter. The only time I use any cable with USB-A connector is if the other end is proprietary.

Cost, protection. I just want a better ratio of screen to bezel, not edge to edge. The little indicator LEDs should be virtualized on the display itself, not separate hardware. I'd even turn them off and default to larger data fields if given the choice.

From a side to side picture I though it was marginally smaller but all dimensions go up! It’s bigger than the V1… 28% more volume (ok mostly due to thickness).
The LEDs have their benefits and could be way brighter than a screen but should take way less space (they are tinny components)

I don't think that's true.
Although wahoo claims these dimensions in their shop:
Roam v1: Physical Dimensions: 3.5" x 2.3" x 0.7” (89mm x 54.4mm x 17.8 mm), Display Size: 2.7" (68.58mm)
Roam v2: Physical Dimensions: 3.56" x 2.34" x 0.8” (9.05cm x 5.95cm x 2.05cm), Display Size: 2.7" (6.9cm)
GPLama and DC Rainmaker mentioned in their reviews, that the v2 has the same dimensions as the previous one - see the screenshot from GP Lama (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MUOnshtapoo&t=375s), v2 on the left.
