do we have ny rumors on the coming Roam "v2"
i am getting my bolt v2 replaced under warranty and the shop told me a new roam "v2" is coming within the next few days or weeks, he didnt have any info on what was going to be changed, i was searching the web for any info but couldt find anything.
do people think we will only see minor changes or what do we think will happen to be able to compete with garmin 1040(solar aswell)
personally i am hoping for same screensize but smaller overall unit.
raised buttons like the v2.
else i dont know what i want from a new roam other than software stuff, like more customisability

Lachlan has been using it. Seems like a pretty minor update. It'll have USB Type-C presumably...hopefully a real version, not the half-measure from the Bolt 2.

yeah we will probaly see a usb-c, raised buttons maybe a better screen.
but really think the need to update it more to be able to sell it.
but looking at the new kickr v6 and kickr bike, nothing major updated there.

Hopefuly soon, just wishing for a smaller bezel, actual USB Type-C and raised buttons. And at the same price as well....

It still has big borders and physical LEDs around the screen. Why they don’t use a bigger screen and virtual LEDs…who knows?! The tiny screen makes it look “cheap” to me.

I really love my Bolt V2, but after seeing all the features hammerhead and Garmin are packing, they should really do something. The screen could use some work. Their climbing feature is utter garbage in comparison to the two main competitors. The Boot time excruciatingly long...
Definitely things they can improve upon.
Other brands have other issues, so not bashing Wahoo here.
Just a wishlist.

Having my hopes up on a major update which might draw me back to Wahoo from Hammerhead. But from what we hear, might just be a small update :(

Would anyone have any idea what prevent our GPS to adopt thinner bezels like in phones for the last… 3,4 years ?
I can’t stand the view of the largest gps, but in the same “bolt” format I could use a larger screen or having a gps the size of the roam screen in tighter format…

This was posted on a german forum, apparently taken from someone's Instagram profile. Obviously it's not confirmed if that's indeed the next Roam but it's clearly not the current one.

Well, color me...whelmed. I would have appreciated a few more hardware and design adjustements.

The driver and connector part of the screen. No brand want to invest money on changing the layout of those part to reduce the bezel.

What is it that the Bolt v2 is considered lacking? Fast charging by USB-PD?

that screen bezel is still way too massive. It's 2022 ffs, that thing looks worse than a smartphone from 2009.
