New bike build on the way.. crit bike. This is the drive train:

1x 11-speed
SRAM Red 11 speed rear derailleur (the new one)
Rotor ALDHU carbon crank
Fibre-lyte carbon chain ring
SRAM Red 11 cassette

Would I be better off with a shimano DA chain or a SRAM Red chain here?

It hardly matters. My Shimano, SRAM and KMC chains all shift about the same.

You'll save a watt or two by running the DA chain even if prepped the same. But they get noisy fast imo.

For performance? Shimano, proven faster.

SRAM Red chain? Consistent with the cassette and rear derailleur

I'm doing a very similar drivetrain build to this, just on a TT bike :) I'm just going to be using a Shimano chain. Whats the good way to get the correct length chain?

To answer my own question, followed the SRAM thing of wrapping the chain around the chainring and biggest cog and adding three links to that. Very easy :)
