They have great customer service in my experience. Really responsive. They are located very close to the Colnago factory and seem to have good access but what do I know.

That is where I got my C64 and will agree with @DP83's comments although DHL did add an additional $129 customs brokerage fee after the frame passed through US customs.

As much as I'd like another Colnago, I feel like they've fooled us. They raised full price to $7,100 and now we think we are getting a screaming deal at $5,500. BTW, I see that Maestro UK is advertising 4660 euros on their web site.

I can't disagree. Fair point. But everything is relative unfortunately and all frames have gotten stupid expensive.

I went back and forth with Maestro. Great guy but I don't think that price includes the CC01. Corsa still cheaper pound for pound and better availability unless something has changed.

When I called DHL, I was told cost was for custom's brokerage fees as well as a small service charge but It was still nearly $1500 under retail prices for US shops.

I ordered a C68 frame that’s gonna arrive at the end of this year.
I do not believe in such Italian Craftsmanship nonsense. it’s more like a balance between performance, ride quality, and aesthetics to me. Facts are the frame itself would be likely in 1kg to 1.1kg range, which has a weight penalty of around 300 grams than a SL7. It would not be as aerodynamic as the SL7 either. Also the ride quality wouldn’t be as good as a fully customizable Parlee Z Zero or a Bastion or a Argonaut etc. But the good news is that it would take far less wait time than those frames, also better than other high end frames in terms of ride quality and aesthetics.
So I’d say the C68 worth the money overall.

I live in the USA and it's worth it to me. I imported a frame from Italy.

I bought a C68 frame for SIGNIFICANTLY less than I could get an s-works SL7 all in. This includes the insanely expensive CCO1 integrated cockpit.

The USD/EURO exchange rate is at 20 year highs. That's basically a 25% discount for a US buyer right there.

Also no VAT tax, no 11% duty because it's just a frame, no US tax that I'd have to pay buying a specialized product here and I got a 5% discount from the distributor.

I couldn't believe the price I got it at compared to buying any high end offering from a US (BMC, Specialized, Cannondale, Trek) retailer.

Something to think about if in USA.
Same same. I live in Asia and there is no such thing as GST or VAT. Meanwhile Euro is at the cheapest level in a decade. I just bought the C68 with Dura Ace C50 inlcuded at roughtly the same price of a Giant TCR or Canyon Aeroad CFR. Now waiting for the shipment.

I am riding the Tarmac SL6. The original plan was to replace with SL7, but then the price skyrocketed. Although the C68 does not look racy, but would you really care?

I think it is going to be the general problem for the bike industry. As a manufacturer it is very difficult to get the consumers to accept raising the price. The coronavirus and the supply chain problem just gave the industry perfect excuse and excessively raising the price above the pre-pandemic level.

When demand returns to normal, the easiest way to determine how much consumers would pay I think it would be setting a very high MSRP but giving enough rooms for retailers to adjust the price for the demand.

So some pay budget frame price for C68 and others vice versa!?
It would feel as a total rip off buying it (atleast over here)

I have a 2021 midyear production Colnago C64 with Ernesto approval on the toptube. It is relatively light for my fleet at 15.3 lbs and rides quite nice. Not as cushy as my 19.5 lbs Richard Sachs, but handling is almost as intuitive as the custom frame, and certainly climbs easier with lighter weight. While Colnago C64 is nicer than a $3500 Cannondale Synapse that I rode on a recent European trip, but I am not sure whether it is nicer by extra $8,500. At the end of the day, I am glad I have the opportunity to ride a top end bike with enviable name.

As for C68, it is designed to be lower and quicker handling than C64, but it is no longer "Ernesto envisioned" whatever that means. Would I buy the C68? I will probably wait for a few more years to see how the Colnago evolve forward and how it defines itself within the cycling space.

I see Maestro is carrying Passoni from Italy. Very, very nice titanium frames.

The junction of tubes where the seat tube, top tube and seat stays come together doesn't work for me
