Has anyone ordered a crank on Aliexpress to the EU?

Aliexpress says

Price Adjustment
Orders shipped from outside of EU with a goods value above EUR150 will be subject to VAT upon importation into the EU. The price of your order has been adjusted to reflect a later collection of VAT at the customs. You are encouraged to confirm the logistics and tax payment arrangement (for VAT, duties, agent fees, etc.) with the seller.

and removes VAT from the price.

Any experiences whether it will actually go through customs?

That's how it is supposed to be. Aliexpress collects VAT only for items up to 150eur. for anything above that you're supposed to fill VAT/import tax/duties by yourself. To avoid this, Chinese vendors are usually offering XDB/prepaid customs. It is definitely more expensive than economy shipping, but it worth the cost (especially for expensive items like carbon parts / frames)

Bought from Spain at AliExpress. Was ready to pay customs, and did not have to.
A friend of mine was less lucky and had to pay 175 euros

I bought goods from elilee(crankset] and Farsports (wheels and handlebar) via Ali. No customs at all. Singnificant savings.

The only one tine when I had to pay any custom was when Farsports send me additional spacers for free. Polish customs charged me 20 euros

If I want to get cranks that support Dura Ace 9200 12 speed chainrings and have the cover for the chainring crank gap, do I simply get the DA 12s cover spider? That is for the spider and the covers?

What tool is required for installing this crankset, I don’t have any Easton specific tools?
