SL7 Stem Creaking/Clicking

Curious if anyone has had issues with a clicking noise on the SL7 stems? Having numerous Tarmacs and running them on the Aethos they have been hit or miss. Some I have had to have a hairline gap at the top of face plate (despite it saying to tighten first) to relieve. I have another that is being elusive and didn't have the issue on a traditional Sworks stem. Anyone experience something similar?

First time I heard this problem.
Do you put some grease between the handlebar and stem? Also if you put spacers under the stem maybe clean those en grease to too (little bit) because all that dirt that's collecting there can make een creaking noise after a time.
