Has anyone had a good experience thus far on a 3rd party cassette without compromising shifting quality and noise? I am currently interested in cassettes such as Prestacycle, EDCO/Recon, Dbop etc. and wondering if they could be recommended for weight savings over my worn 9100 cassette. Thank you!

i am looking into same right now.
found the SEQ lite to be lightest at 118Gram for 11-28
they are 300$
also looking at Rotor that is 290 $ and 135 for 11-28
i am probaly going with the rotor as i have to pay taxes and shipping for the seq lite and will end up in 425 dollar.
so probaly not worth it over the Rotor.
seq lite is full titanium
rotor is 8 stell cogs and 3 largest is Aluminium.
Heard Rotor is same shifting and noice as Dura-ace

I use this cassette. They have like 90-95% of the shifting quality of shimano but for me that is fine.

I didn't know cassettes had weight limits to them? I'm 90kg and I've considered bdop but looks like it's out for me

It doesn't really make any sense, as the casette doesn't support the weight of the rider (which is supported by the wheel axle). If anything, it would make more sense to have torque limit, but it would still be absurd. A cassette should be able to withstand the torque produced even by pro sprinters. What are they going to say if you break one, that the warranty doesn't cover it because you pedal too hard?LackOfWatts wrote: ↑Mon Jul 04, 2022 1:47 pmI didn't know cassettes had weight limits to them? I would recommend Recon Titanium cassettes.

I use an Edco cassette, an 11-29 one specifically, it's light enough and shifts very well. Only issue is that 1 of the sprockets is a bit noisy despite a lot of fettling.
At £120 I felt it was quite reasonably priced as well.

I used the Bdop 11-32 alloy. I got roughly 1500 km out of it. All mountain/hilly riding, 77kg. I was not always super careful with shifting, taking all load off, so in the end I had lost 5 of the 11 cog options (skipping under almost any load)

This for the best shifting performance. I tried an 11-speed Prestacycle Uniblock cassette, it was straight trash.
