Hello,
I initially planned to build a 2x11 but was lucky to get a Torno limited crankset, even I already have a 11-25 cassette I will probably have to replace...
I am looking trying desperately to find the ultralight 10-28 cassette, to get a 1x11 groupset, but for now, the best I found is 11-28, or 11-32.
First, the cassette is heavier, if I remember the lightest cassete I found using 11-32 combination is a rotor Uno and it's 175g, for the 11-28 the lightest I saw is the titanium seqlite, about 120g
For now I have a titanium seqlite, 11-25, weighting 106g, but it means I have to get a 2x11 set.
If by any luck, I can find, or create a 10-28 11s cassette, I should use a 1x11, using a 42 teeth crankset, saving the weight of second chainring, front derailleur, and wiring, also, in the winnniest way, the left shifter mechanics, eve it's ugly to my taste.
Another way could be to find a 12s sram typed ultralight cassette, like 10-28, find a damaged red11 right shifter, study the inner mechanic to design a converter ad get mechanical 12 speed to convert the rear derailler to 12 speed.
Not sure it's possible or if it already exists.
My subject here is to see if any members would be interest in a custom design cassetteproject, if we are many, maybe it should be possible to ask seqlite to produce it, adding some technical specs:
-special surface finish, polish, sandblasting, and vaccum coating for better glide
-10-28 gear, steps subject to discussion, depending on members experience and expectations.
-2-or 3 parts contruction, to get replacable sections only, or, mayben design several shift variations, for exemple same 10-18, and make a 18-25 or 18-28
Of course if some obscure existing product already exist I would be just happy to discover them!
What do you think about it?

No point screwing around with a custom cassette, just get one of these 12 speed conversion kits and use standard cassettes.

A SRAM red 10-28 is listed as 183 grams. How much lighter are you expecting?

thanks a lot!
Does this cassette need the wifli derailleur or is it possible to mount with standart red derailleur, I know the standart is limited to 28 teeth, but maybe, if lucky.*in the worst case I can make a special derailleur mount, or, find a wifli.
