The replacement as in the actual replacement or the intermittent replacement while waiting for the new one?

I run the Roval Alpinist SL
Can you post some mor pics at the steerer tube / spacer area?
Yes. I can do that tommorow.
Thanks in advance!
Sorry for the bad pictures and sweat. It's on my hometrainer in the basement.

Edit: it's funny how it looks much worse on pictures. You don't really notice the cables irl.

What other options did you examine and what was the reason on chosing the Alpinist?

I had the Enve SES AR handlebar with there aero stem on, but the handlebar was faulty and I regretted not getting an integrated handlebar.

I did look at the Vision ACR stem and handlebar or Vision Metron acr, The Yoleno and some others. But I really don't like aero handlebars when riding on the flats, and that was where the Alpinist shines, it's like a round handlebar thats integrated.

What about other round integrated bars like Bonti XXX, which looks similar but is another 15g lighter? Would match the bike.

XXX hasn't been made for a couple years now. I see some sparse listings for NOS and used ones, but they're almost all 42cm (44cm in the drops) or 44cm (46cm drops).

The temporary (intermittent?) replacement bar.
Some work stuff got in way this weekend so I won't be able to drop it off for it to be replaced until next weekend. Apologies. I'll definitely post pics once I get it.

Got the replacement bar/stem.
Took a quick snap from the front. They gave me a short 90mm stem to play with for now.

Stem is a +/- 7° model. No model name printed on there.

For real. That's a $340 bar, and you get to keep/sell it in the end. Plus $100 voucher

I thought Trek said it would be aluminum. Maybe your dealer didn't know and just installed what they had?

Nice result. I've got an Emonda on order, due any day. I'm kind of hoping it comes with a set of these until the other bars are re-engineered

Yes it is the ISOCORE PRO VR-CF, though it is the previous version. Called 'Bontrager Pro IsoCore VR-CF Road Handlebar Legacy' on the trek website.

Maybe. It is an older bar, but I guess I'm not going to complain about a carbon bar instead of an aluminium one!

I've taken a few more pics of the bike, and a quick digging around the trek website makes me think my stem is the 'Bontrager Pro Blendr Stem'
