It's not possible. The bolt pattern for attaching the stem to the frame is quite different, therefore you physically cannot bolt the Gen1 steerer tube adapter onto the Gen2 frame.

Hate to quote myself here, but could somebody with a Shimano groupset over here could help me with this? Sticking an 8mm allenwrench between the chainstay and the crankarm would be more than sufficient for me (if it clears of course)!therealmurli wrote: ↑Tue Dec 26, 2023 10:37 pmCan anybody give a little bit insight when it comes to powermeter clearance for the non-driveside type (4iiii and Stages)?
I'm torn between this option and the P2M with Rotor cranks, which seem to be troublefree for a lot of people, but I don't like the tapered sections of the rotor cranks and neither the different chainline. Seems like it is a hit or miss with the cranks acc. to multiple sources...
I´m searching (for 2 hours flat now) for the weight of an 2022 Ultegra DI2 stock S5 and the 2023 Ultegra DI2 stock S5. A shame, cervelo does not give the weight, but also most of what I can find is not trustworthy. Maybe someone of you has some numbers. Everything I could find was a difference of 56 grams on the stem. Am I right, that the frame itself is the same, no matter if it´s a 22 or 23 model (the fork as well?).
Thanks so far. 2022 model would be in the sale right now...

2022 was when the new model S5 was launched, so there's a slight ambiguity over whether you're looking at a 22 S5 that came out before the new launch or not.
Ultimately though, if the stem is different then you will be looking at the two different versions and the frame and fork are also different.

A 2022 11speed Ultergra Di2 S5 with the Reserve wheels (wheels were approx 1650g) and dual sided Shimano power meter was dead on 8kg.
That's where I started. I put a DA crank with series 3 4iii left sided power meter, DA 12 speed calipers, 140mm + 160mm 9200 DA rotors, Farsports 50mm wheels (1320g), took 100g off by using titanium hardware in the handlebar and stem and also stripped off those huge handles off the thru axles).
Berk Lupina at 90g + Hylix seatpost
Total weight is now 7.05kg

I think he is counting the TA mod in this number as well.

So I built up my new S5 Grand Tour Edition, loving it so far.
However after I mounted my seatpost I went to recheck and found this...any thoughts?
I've been using a digital calibrated torquewrench, torqued to 8Nm, no Carbon gripper on the clamping area apparently, only where the post meets the frame.
Do I need to replace? Knocking on it sounds like nothing is structurally endangered, just some clearcoat damage(?).

Cervelo S5 Grand Tour Edition size 54.
I think is as light as I can make without sketchy components (maybe the Hylix is that, we will see)
Weight 7.0 kg wo pedals (Favero Assioma Will be used)
130 mm stem and 380 mm handlebar
Hylix seatpost
Alpitude Gardena Carbon saddle
Dura Ace 9200 groupset with sprint shifters.
Rotor Aldhu Carbon Cranks with 30 mm axle
Stone Spider and Rotor bolts.
Dura Ace 9200 54/40 chainrings.
Dura Ace 9200 11-30 cassette and chain.
Zipp 454 NSW wheels with Conti GP5000 S 700x28
Tune carbon cages.
Some bolts will bea swapped for Ti and a Garmin holder about 15-25 g will be added.
