The blue is a nice color, but the white i really don't like.
I love that color combination.

I get why they're going for the two tones (to highlight, visually, what differentiates this front end), but it's interesting how good the single, bold colors used for Tour leaders looked. Caveat: all based on online photos, of course. IRL could be a different experience.

Somewhere here i think someone wrote the S5 have been used with a "standard" stem and handlebar??
Did i get this correct or have i been sniffing glue without remembering?

The last S5 had a bolt on part that had a length of steerer tube sticking out of it so it could be used with normal stems and bars. They were incredibly rare, but available. Since the new one uses a different bolt pattern it won't be compatible, and I doubt they'll make one this time round.

Roglic had a standard bar/stem on at least one stage this year...

The big problem with this bike is that it is really for large drops from seat to bars....
Short headtube and only one stem angle.... Washers are limited to 30 or 35 mm
But the problem with this company is that if you want /need the setback seatpost or
a different stem and/or bars you are shit out of luck as they are nearly impossible to buy.

When I made a CAAD drawing of the frame and compared it to my ExtremeC, I needed
all three components which even if I could buy them, they would cost over $700 and then
I would still need a pile of washers..... That the dealers selling this bike/frame can't
swap out the parts is enough for me to buy another Colnago

Yeah this is what i have always disliked with most of these integrated bikes. They're made in the manner you are locked on to proprietary model specific components. When they go through revisions things are updated and all of a sudden you might wonder, how long will parts be available for my bike.

Anyway, if i look at my saddle height and stack/reach, aswell as stem, i think i could ride S5 with one spacer.
Thing is i noted spacers are just available in 5mm and 7.5mm versions.

Are you sure he was riding an S5 at the time? He would normally spend much more time on the R5...

Just watched the video again and you are RIGHT!

Do you know the reason why he is not on the S5?

I'm sure it has to with weight and preference, flat stage he may pick the S5, any climbing and he'd pick the R5. I think most (if not all) of the team used the R5 on climbing stages

That was the cobbled stage where they mostly started on Caledonias. Since he's being pushed off after a big crash that almost certainly damaged the bike he was on, that R5 would have been his spare on the team car. Both because it'd be a bit more comfortable on cobbles and because it's the road bike he spends most time on, being primarily a climber.
