Oh yay, they have footage of the Saturn V in the launch video which means it's totally over marketed. Wavecell 2.0 here we come!
And it goes 100 km/h! Wow! Then I'll buy it immediately, even if I don't like the design :P

I like that blog post. Done their homework. Moving mannequin is a good idea for consistency of testing, and they don't keep you guessing how much of their improvement is down to position change vs frame alone - it's all there.

Net result of 9w weighted average savings at 45kph over the outgoing model with identical positions is nothing to sneeze at.

Trek have used that for at least 10 years now.

$7k US for a 105 bike is crazy. Hopefully the SL that comes out next year is better priced.

“That 19-watt number, that's the whole system: the rider and the bike. About 9.3 watts comes from the bike and then 9.7 watts from the position change on the new bike.”

Correct me if im wrong but this is some serious mental gymnastics. Unless im missing something couldn't spesh just stock their sl7 with a extra narrow bar and claim it was more aero? What if you are already coming from a very narrow bar? Additionally aero shouldn't trump fit especially for those who are not paid to race.

Anyway, its a lot lighter and they tried something different without compromising practically, if anything its better as you don't have to deal with servicing the isospeed.
