After I heard Colnago was poised to win the Tour de France, the V4RS debuted on the Champs Elysees...

New Foil?

Photo may be stretched / odd angle, but it looks very long in reach ... that's not usually Scott's m.o. Maybe it just looks that way though due to negligible seatpost showing and slammed stem.

I think the Cervelo/3T style ST is making the front triangle look deceptively long in addition to lens distortion and the fact that the bike is leaning away from us (against the car.) The wheels are definitely looking pretty oval.

Full picture just to give more context that it’s a Scott.

Looks like they're calling it the Teammachine SLR Mpc.

They did the whole "Masterpiece" thing for the roadmachine a few years back and it was basically a $10k USD raw carbon frame that was made in Germany and like 100-200 grams lighter than a normal road-machine because of the lack of paint IIRC. So presumably this will use the same molds as the regular Teammachine SLR but be like twice the price. One for the real BMC afficionados I suppose.

Specialized charge a premium by slapping on a name and some fancy paint job, BMC does the same but just omit the paint job, genius! Love BMC but if that frame doesn't weigh like an Aethos people are crazy to want one at that price. I would buy a normal Team machine and pay someone to strip and clear coat it for much less.
The last rim brake foil frame was pretty light and well-balanced for an aero frame. It won Tour Magazine the year it was tested iirc. Interesting to see a departure from that philosophy of good stiffness and lightness in an aero frame (I know you cannot judge stiffness from a photo but we know aero bikes stiffness (measured in newtons for exmaple) per unit of mass is lower)). I supposed a well-balanced foil would impede upon the Addict but the Addict could be made a little more aero I suppose so this is probably going towards the all-out aero attitude (which I thought would go bye-bye with the end of the Venge and SuperSix).mustafah009 wrote: ↑Tue May 31, 2022 6:15 amFull picture just to give more context that it’s a Scott.

Good different? Breath of fresh air different? Also dropping at the tour?
Also im hoping for shorter reach bar shapes, and an 80mm stem the current madone is much too long for me.
