Every brand is basically moving the same way in this regard.
???

Cervelo have their latest full aero S5 out in the wild ready to launch this year. Trek have their latest full aero Madone out in the wild ready to launch this year. Scott have their latest full aero Foil out in the wild ready to launch this year.
Yeah Caledonia, S5, R5 and soon to be a Soloist by the looks of things.

Looks like an open-mould aero frame... not very striking

Again... Trek is crazy for opening a hole in it. The others are crazy for not opening a hole in it. Damn... :noidea:

Is there anything unusual about that Scott Foil rear derailleur?
It looks as if it is connected using direct mount hanger or something.

It looks a bit like a Cervelo with that seat post.

It's interesting that they're going more "aero" at the back vs Giant who seem to be going more "normal" at the back in the new Propel.

It's a direct mount hanger. Scott has been shipping direct mount hangers with their high end bikes since at least 2020 with the new Addict RC. I'm sure they are doing the same here with the Foil.

I support Treks engineers for trying. I don't support Treks marketing department. I had the old Foil and loved how it was balanced. This just seems like a departure from a real good design philosophy

None that I can think of ... one or two had 3T-similar rear triangles but didn't prove popular. Rest of the bike looks totally different. If you mean the Storck Aerfast 4, it doesn't look anything like that.
