This almost like a Tarmac SL7...

Where is the time that most frames had there own identity. These days almost all bikes look the same.

Some frames are just more industry defining than others. Like how the SystemSix is informing aero bike design even today. You can find traces of Cannondale lineage at the headtube downtube junctions of many newer bikes like the Ostro, Orca Aero, ZX-1 EVO, Ribble Ultra, Workswell WCB-R-369, etc.

It was expected to provide him a “better” frame. V3rs is around 230W as per Tour tests, that is roughly 20 W above an SL7 and probably 10 W slower than a 2016 SSE2 fully equipped with modern components.

From this picture, tube dimensions are relatively thin compared to other pro tour bikes. Only the sl7 seems to play in this category.

I believe "watt sinkhole" was the verbiage used by Tour to describe the V3Rs

And if you went back 40 years all the bikes looked even more the same. This magical time when bikes from different manufacturers looked different was a very short time between when non lugged carbon became common until everyone realized that aero matters. And even then there's more differences between them than there was when everyone was riding steel.

Looks interessing. Kinda hard to tell from the angle, but seatpost looks like an aero shaped one. Also the cockpit seems to be the Aeroad one since it is pretty small in diameter (was hoping for am easier solution). Interesting that they didn't follow the dropped seatstay trend..

That’s a bit severe, the vr3 is in the ballpark of the TCR, R5, Emonda and scott addict. This being said that still significant compared to Pinarello F, aeroad, sl7 or Filante.

This is something I expect every high-end bike to follow along. If this really makes the headset bearing last a lifetime, it's a nice investment in a time where cables are all hidden in the headtube.

They will also have to make it lighter somehow. If not the frame then the fork of the small parts like pinarello did.

Factor has been doing this well before colnago. Since 2020 with the Ostro.
