I'm preparing to add some colors to a bike I have on order, that comes with the Ultegra Di2 R8100 groupset.

Amongst the things I want to change is the pulley wheels, but I'm unsure whether Shimano changed the specs - they offer a new part number ( WP-Y3J198010 ) for their 12 speed ultegra road group, they still look to have 11 teeth, but maybe a bit slimmer central body?

Old

I was thinking of replacing them with something like Hope or KCNC aluminum pulley wheels

So, anyone know if these will be compatible with the 12-speed ultegra groupset?

Also, is there a point to chosing pulley wheels with more teeth? Like 13t f.ex.

The watt savings from aftermarket and oversized pulley wheels are very minimal, though you may be going for the looks. One thing I will add though is I've found aluminum or metal jockey wheels can be quite a bit louder than the plastic versions.

12 speed jockey wheels are not compatible with 11 speed. the wheel thickness is different.

Yes, it’s just the look and to add a bit of colour. The ones which I did have are not compatible with 12speed even though they were advertised as such.
